Birthday? Alan doesn't have time for a birthday. He needs to post the GOTM33 results, get the GPR updated, update his 20k calculator...work at his real job...

Just kidding!

Happy birthday Alan! I hope you aren't so busy that you miss it!

AlanH has been the Happy Birthday present to the GOTM community in the past year. Without his tireless work on automating the scoring we would still be trying to get out the scores for GOTM 26. :crazyeye:

Happy Birthday Alan and many more.

I missed this too!

They say that wisdom comes with age, so I guess in crocodile years that makes you a handbag. ;)

I hope you got stinking drunk BTW. :D

@Jove
Are you quite sure you have the right thread at the right time?

AlanH
Feb 26, 2005, 08:01 AM
Thanks for the thought, Jove, but at my advanced age I'd prefer not to have even one a year, let alone two :D

Well, Redbad, you know what a fan of birthdays I am. I was looking for someone's notes in an old thread and ran across this. It's belated, enough that I thought AlanH could use another day off. Sorry AlanH, I'll try to come up for another excuse for you. Hmmmm... When is the Macintosh's birthday??

AlanH
Feb 26, 2005, 09:36 PM
Thanks Jove. Your kind thought was appreciated.

The Macintosh was announced in a memorable advertisement during the Superbowl, 1984. That probably pins down a suitable date for celebration :)

1984

This means the Mac is now old enough to drink! There ya go, Alan!

That happened in 2002 in England. Mine's been on a permanent binge ever since. But I think we'd better draw the veil back over this spammy resurrection, don't you?
