View Full Version : Massive Multiplayer Civ? CivCube Aug 16, 2004, 07:51 PM Looks like it's finally happened. A Tale in the Desert (http://www.atitd.com/ftr-general.html) damunzy Aug 16, 2004, 08:58 PM Not quite a civ-game. It is a "normal" MMORPG except that you do not fight - you just build things. A civ-like game would have you taking over others. There is nothing like that in this game. :( Sorry to dash your hopes! Emp.Napoleon Aug 16, 2004, 10:55 PM Wait... Don't we have the Inter-Site Democracy Game (ISDG), it has many players. And it has been around longer than this I bet. Dell19 Aug 17, 2004, 06:33 AM It doesn't quite sound like they are the same things... damunzy Aug 17, 2004, 02:21 PM @Emp. Nap: That isn't really a MMOTBSG (Massively Multiplayer Online Turn-Based Strategy Game). There was one that was put out by a Canadian development team and a French publisher - I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. I tried the free demo they had but it wasn't much fun.... BAH, MMOTBSG, too many letters. :p The one here is fun though. damunzy Aug 31, 2004, 11:14 AM Now that I think about it - it would be difficult to have a MMOTBSG....it would almost certainly be real-time....so let's go with MMORTSG. Said something like Ma-Morts-Ga. :D |
