It was a couple of months ago, Isak announced that within a week Rise and Rule would be availible. This was shortly before Kal-El left the scene. I went to the DyP website, and the news archive's last entry was way back in March!
I'm concerned, not impatient(I have my own mod to play after all). I'm concerned because the cancelation of R&R could mean the gradual collapse of the Civ3 modding community. Any thoughts?

For a start, always take any estimate for a mod's release with a huge pinch of salt ;)

There's still people out there making CivII mods ... so I wouldn't be too worried on that count.
As for specifically RaR, no idea. But any mod worth its huge pinch of salt is gonna be a year or more late.

Sorry, I would have released the mod last week, but some family issues came in the way of that. Just finishing the last few critical issues, and then we will release the mod, even though it's not going to be with all the extras that were originally planned right away. Instead, we will give you a working version, and then the full-blown version will be released some time after september.
Seems like we're going to have to wait for the full-blown version, as the working version appears not to be happening...
It WILL come out. They've done too much work to just drop it (unless lots of bad things happen and the files break)

I hope so, I really do. DyP is really one of the wonders of the Civ-modding world. Sometimes when someone leaves a mod project, the rest of the group loses morale, and falls apart. I've seen it happen in the past. I don't want the same for R&R...
