I was browsing though Electronic Art's webpage and I have noticed that they have releaced an offical mod for Battlefield Vietnam.

I was skeptical at first with the huge download but since I have gotten cable and gone wireless, the download just took only a few minutes to download (Hey I am running on 11 Mbps on wireless :p )

The Mod basicly takes advantage of the game engine that BF Vietnam is built uppon. The link will lead you to more discriptions and comparisons :).

Only 2 Fractions (That I can tell) that are advalible in the mod are the Japanese and the United States.

Yep, I was reading about it on planetbattlefield the other day. It's BF1942 in the new engine, plus flamethrowers. And all the enhancements you could expect from the BF:V engine. :)

It's no good having a WWII mod unless you can be the Germans.

The Graphics of the Mod are Fantastic... I'm Going to Download it in september because my Internet Connection now Sucks :cry:

Of course, if you have BFV why use it to play WWII? Just play RtR.

I didn't know they improved the BF:1942 engine to make BF:V. When I first read this thread title and I thought "Why not just play BF:1942". But now I understand. :)

If you want to play WWII, play Battlefield 1942.

So you don't want to take advantage of the features the BF:V engine provides? Such as passengers able to shoot. More foliage to hide in gives infantry a bit of a better time too.

Plus flamethrowers. :devil2:
