Hi!
Sorry, I've been away for a while. Now I don't know what's what, like Qsc?
Which is the GOTM download for Civ3 Vanilla? (I'm guessing Zulu)
Cheers! :)

GOTM 34 - Zulu is for Civ 3 1.29 Vanilla OR PTW. The release page is << HERE >> (http://gotm.civfanatics.net/games/gotm34release.shtml)
The Qsc stands for Quick Start Challenge and requires you to submit the game save from 1000 BC along with a turn log of your actions during those 80 turns. You can find more info on the Qsc << HERE >> (http://www.civfanatics.com/doc/civ3/cracker/quik_start/)
Hope this is what you were looking for.

BTW - the PTW version requires exactly zero download packs - just the save. Load it up and start playing. :)

I just went with Predator Zulu.
I think I might be setup wrong though, because it's not as hard as I expected. I haven't been playing to win: just messing around and letting the AI catch up when it falls behind. Still have just under 50% the world's total power, and am the first to enter each era... so, was there a special *.ini file to change the rules or something? :undecide:

If you are playing with the right start file it should be OK. It's a Regent level game, so it's not up to the recent difficulty level we've been used to around here.

Oh. Can I just confirm something.
I seem to remember movement being different in some games: ships moving faster at sea. In the current game their movement is normal. Is this how it should be?
If so, I shall continue

Yes, ship movement has reverted to normal in this game, ships move the same distance in coast, sea or ocean. The game intro page says:
Ship movements restored to 'normal' (but bombard and attack details kept as recent)
