View Full Version : Leaderhead Request: Tsar Stevan Dušan of Serbia
Sep 12, 2004, 04:50 PM
In order to populate the Balkans in my mod, I would like to introduce the Serbs. Apparently invited by the Byzantines to settle and fortify the northwest border regions in the Balkans, they soon became an independent nation in their own right. Under Stevan Dušan (mid 14th century), the Serb Empire covered most of the Balkans and even claimed suzerainty over Byzantium. With his death, a rapid decline began which culminated in the defeat of the Serbs at the hands of the Ottoman turks only a few decades later. Occupied by the Ottomans but never losing their spirit, Serbia re-emerged as an independent nation in the 19th century and has dominated the Balkans ever since.

Sounds cool, but do you need such a large city list?

Always. Always long city lists! This way, I'll never get "New Beograd", which sounds kinda funny when you're playing the Serbs. Since we can't teach Civ to speak Serbian and call it "Novi Beograd", I'd rather have enough city names in my list so I never run out. They're all actual cities in Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia, though.

Maybe the Scythian leader could be useful before some creator to do this request (link of my sign to find the Scythian leader link ;) )

Well Civarmy, after awile, maybe you could alternate between Units and Leaderheads, like this:
It will add variety, or you could switch whenever doing one gets boring.

You don't need city lists that long.. you won't even get halfway through that one.

Yeah... in spite of what TopGun says... half of it is "necessity" and half of it is just plain showing off... :p

Yeah. His city lists are extremely impressive.. but a lot of it isn't necessary. But hey, I'm not a dictator.

Hey guys, I'm way past the age of having to show off. :D
To me it's all about how each of us likes to play/mod his or her game. I like long lists and every once in a while, I share one of mine in here. That's all... ;)

I'd rather have a long list of citys than the "New" this that happens when you create lots of cities. I think it was Firaxis that didn't have enough cities for each of the civs...
And and Topgun, good pick for a new civ btw...The Serbs are a very important historical people

He included 219 cities. You only need 100.
