Hmm, how old would the other leaders be today? For that matter, how many would be alive today? Most of them haven't been born yet!

Zakharov just turned 10 today.
Yang is 7 years old.
Morgan is in his second trimester.
Lal won't be born for another 2 years.
Miriam won't be born for 10 years.
Dierdre will be born 21 years from now.
Santiago will be born a year after that.

I don't have any info on the SMAX leaders, except that Cha Dawn won't be born until a few years after planetfall at the start of next century.

Anyway, I think this is qute. I never thought of thinking about the faction leaders in this way, but of course, they have to be borne sometimes and we *do* live in the golden age of Science. Many GREAT things that will change humanitys Destiny are being done today.

Sooo... Happy birthday Zakharov, and congratulations for missing schoolstart in Beslan.

I have yet to see any low Idea that I couldn't take lower. For example, performing a search of the Russian census to see if there realy is a 10 Year old Named Zakharov, and then sending him a few Greeting cards wishing him a Happy Birthday, and good luck on the Unity Mission.

When I recieved the game for the first time ~6 years ago, I also got the hint book. One of the appendices contained biographical data for the seven factions leaders: birthday, place of origin, Unity position, height/weight, service record, and psych profile. It was printed before Alien Crossfire was released, so it only has info on the original 7.

By the way, Zakharov is a common russian name. Theres *LOADS* of russcies named Zakharov, many of them prominent intellectuals, scientists, writers, directors and what not. It would be difficult to find the "right" Zakharov, then again maybe it would easy: just send the congrats to any one and chanses are you hit the spot. :)

Anyway,... are you sure that Yang is born/lives in China?
There are millions of chinese that live all over the world...
How do you choose the right Yang?
Are you SURE he is named Yang as a child?
He might have taken the name Yang when becoming faction leader...

Others will take their places. SMAC will gain a new plot, with crazy new factions and leaders, creating a new and different SMAC. Now that I think of it the sooner we remove the older leaders, the sooner we can get SMAC2!
