Hi :) Many players sent to me e-mails asking about the Next Level Mod and then I decided to release a new version of the mod including new civilizations and fixing the bugs of the last version.

CivArmy’s
Next Level Mod
Uploaded in February 02th 2008.

Download the files here:
http://www.civfanatics.net/downloads/civ4/modpacks/NextLevelMod.zip

How to load the mod:

STEP 1:
- Go to "c:\..\Civilization IV\Beyond the Sword" folder
- Double click the file "_Civ4Config.ini". NotePad or WordPad will open it
- Scroll down to where it says "ModularLoading = 0"
- Change the 0 to 1 (the number zero to number one)
- Save the file and close it.

STEP 2:
- Move the created folder "Next Level Mod" inside "c:\..\Civilization IV\Beyond the Sword\Mods"
- Start Beyond the Sword
- Go to "advanced"
- Select "load a mod"
- Choose "Next Level Mod"
- The game will restart and you will be playing the mod

The mod includes instructions in Portuguese of how loading N.L.M. (O mod inclui instrução em português explicando como carregá-lo).

can u update the Benin mod to warlords and/or BTS please?

This is what I'm planning to do with the 2.0 version, Benin will be there :) Traits still under construction.
Do u wanna suggest the unique building for Benin?

Thanks. For a unique building Benin can have:
UB:Urhokpota(courthouse) plus 2 culture, 1 health

And just a suggestion, you might want to use the actual kingdom of Benin imperial flag:http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en-commons/7/7a/Benin_Kingdom_flag.png

Something that i noticed is that Lagos(Eko being the Benin name), Benin City, Akure and Ihimwirin are the only 4 cities in the original list that actually belonged to the benin in any point in history, all the other cities and the Mounted Yoruba unit belonged to the neighboring Yoruba Oyo Empire. If u want a list of the actual Benin cities i can help out with that.

p.s. Ewuare's traits are great, do you have any plans for a second leader

Please, do the new city list and choose the new UU. BTW, do u have any reference image of the unique building? the same for the new UU.
I don't have plans for a 2nd leaders to Benin Empire now, Ewura is fine. :)

Uselu
Udo

A link for UU(it's not very good just a relic):http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/images/h2/h2_1990.332.jpg

Hi Dan, this looks good and I'm really glad you're working on Civ IV. I'm going to start my Civ IV mod soon, after I've finished the Civ III version.

Looks like there's been some advances in animated leaderhead making, I've tried putting my poser models through 3ds max (using Reiss studio), but I'm yet to get one to work properly in Civ IV. Have you had any luck?

Hi! :)
No, I didn't have luck to export Poser LHs to 3ds Max and than to Civ4 :( I tried this way using 3ds files, but it didn't work. We have to discovery a way to this work, I'd be great.
I just can export buildings, but nothing animated.

For the UB of Benin it is basically a an old style building with a monument in front of it. I will give a few pics that look something like it.

Hope it Helps.:goodjob:

p.s. Ewuare's favourite civic would be Hereditary rule, Gyatso's would be Pacifism, Champlain-Mercantilism, Macdonald-Representation

CivArmy, I already have a Getulio 3D LH on progress. It work on BTS, but I dont know hoe to create a Civ, just replace leaders. Here is a screenshot. Maybe you can use him on the brazilian civ.

Cara deu um trabalhão, e ta fucionado no BTS. Olha o screenshot. Acho que posso ajudar com mais 3d LH!

Hey Civ Army!

Looks nice! Thanks for the BtS Civs but I'm curious...now with Blake's new legendary AI in there is there a lot more for YOU, as a modder, to do for the Leader's AI profile? Did you do these AIs from scratch or just copy over similar leaders in BtS and then tweak accordingly?

is it possible for you to make this a module? So we could combine it with other mods if we wanted to? Anyways great work!

Yes, I definitely second that! I would love to be able to use these Civs in the Next War or Gods of Old mods.

I used the second option. I'd like to learn more about the first one, do u suggest any link where I can do that?
