Recently, I played the OCC Obsolete asked me to do to proove my competences. But wasn't happy I reloaded twice at different occasions because I felt how helpless I was because Ragnar was stomping everyone. The victims couldn't contact, my friends were afraid. If I have gone military instead of OCC space, then I would have lost to another one going for Alpha.

Either I misplayed early (possible perhaps because of Saladin doing his peacevassaling;bribe Ragnar against Saladin when I could) or simply some games go haywire and few options can be taken.
Ragnar was just impressive on IMM with his immense stacks around.

Prolly I won the space race by a 10 turns difference. That was so tight going military meanwhile would have meant my loss.

Now I think, that was BS that inland sea map was so unbalanced. It is supposed to balance AI's.
i received your message... ...me confused, pm, now vm?

well, anyways, ai simply says stuff like: we would like to win this game, thank you, when you try to bribe him off. same happens in normal game if you are a rel. small empire.

i usually dont bribe ai´s off, since the simply will redeclare in 10 turns (i do if absolutely neccessary), usually i try to bribe more ai to attack the one i think stronger. same effect, always possible
I have a question to you: in a normal OCC game on highest levels, how would you control AI's especially in war side if they have >2.5 your land value. In the code, it says if they have this ratio, the AI refuses all bribes for stopping wars. If they almost are all like this in a game, would you say the game is rather 50% controlled by random factors or am I wrong in that assumtion?

Do you think putting more AI's than normal numbers (like 6 on standard is normal) for diluting land values is a decent move or simply a cheap method?
