  • I've started playing Inland Sea but I find it far too tame, I didn't realise that sometimes I actually enjoy the intensity of a solid-coastline Pangea map.

I think I'm going to flip between the two until I can win Monarch consistently. I mostly just miss out on the space race due to having to bribe civs with techs to stop wars so they don't get a domination win. The Whipping thread taught me a lot and I've put it into practice - the biggest change is managing to Lib Biology
Your stats are showing you play at Noble, is this still true and is it the same for OCC? If so what's your kill ratio?

I was stuck at OCC Noble for ages but then turned off Events and was able to move up to Prince which I found very easy. Taking siege out of the equation my ratio could be 90:1
Since upping to Monarch it's dropped to roughly 50:1 - is that average?

In normal games it's quantity over quality but OCCs are by necessity vice versa. My tech can suffer mid-game making sure I have a military tech lead.
Sup, but I remember you being very helpful when I first came around playing Civ 4 and posting on these boards. Much appreciated.

Thanks. I'm glad I was able to help. Sometimes I wonder if I do help and I'm glad to find out I do. I enjoy your posts as well.
