I will often mine every hill in my borders when my workers don't have anything better to do. Basically looking for the random pop of a resource in the mine.
Buddy tested recently after winning a game in which he had built the AP. He switched religions after the game was won but the AP did not switch religions. Thus if the AP is built for the Christians, it stays for the Christians.
Plus I agree that you do not have to be the religion to get the...
Did some looking around but could not find what I was looking for. Is there listed anywhere a list that puts a year to each turn? For example, on Epic speed what turn # is it in year 1000AD?
The thought here is that Fighters have and escourt button which acts simular to the intercept button. Meaning you hit the escourt button and target the destination that the bomber is going to. Then you take your bomber and bomb the city. If there are enemy interceptors that target the...
ANother Option that I think would be nice. Being able to select in the set up menu to always allow the UU of the civ to be available. I know that is part of the special ability of some current UUs, but it always pains me to say play the mongols and not have horses.
What I would like to see.
1. UU & UB specific to leaders not the civ itself. Why should Washington have Navy Seals? Instead give him a UU & UB that fit his time.
2. Combat, I would like to see a combat system that takes into account your whole army (stack). You could say pull up to the...

This is a decent strategy I used in a recent game as well. I finished up the internet and after finishing the composites tech for the MA, I put science to zero and pushed up the culture to keep my people happy as I went to war. I also slid up the esp slider too, using that to destroy one of my...
I like to keep my workers in pairs, but even then I do not group them together for the times when it only took one to finish the job. This way the second can move to the next tile awhile. Also I find roads very important to be able to move your military to where needed. Nothing worse then...
Playing with some friends one day and this happened to the one guy. He used a worker as bait for the archers keeping him just one tile away from the archers. This allowed him to build some units in his capitol and survive the event. It still definitely slowed him down and made the early game...
I dont think its the settings as much as a failure to recognize that its going to happen. For instance on Epic setting I know I will start to see barbs around turn 70ish and then by 90ish they are moving into my lands. Also Barb galleys come around 110ish or so. Always protect you seafood...
I don't think they can attack the same turn they drop in. Their high strength is a nice feature. The best or at least most memorable moment for me was paradropping onto a wooded hill on the other side of a mountain range that seperated me from my enemy. I had a couple there with woodsman and...
Isolation Starts will get a Do-over. I will get a third party to check the WB for me if I think I might be isolated.
A flood of calendar resources in my capitol is not one of my favorites, but I will usually play through.
With my map settings (see Sig) I get a lot of challenging starts...
As far as using spies, in my experience, you need to push the slider up past 50% and make sure you have all the buildings in that give spy points or bonus to them. Then you need a small army of spies to sit in the weakest city to sabotage. To find that city go to the esp. screen select the...
Once the palace is built the first vote should be who leads it. Depends how many other Hindu civs there are, but since you built it you will be on the ballot. Once the leader is elected votes will periodically happen depending whats going on in the world.
