Bribe someone else with a big army into backstabbing him if you can. That will stop the zerging in your direction or at least slow him down enough for you to push forward or secure a better defensive line. Also it things start to sour for him and you near his territory peace could be an option.
Melee and units need to be quite simply buffed in strength at least in the earlier eras.
As it stands now city strength increases exponentially making direct melee assaults suicidal and counterproductive. Also a range unit on good terrain beats a melee unit in 1v1 combat. When adding in...
I've never used it but the games I've played (immortal) Poland is always a juggernaut of an AI. My last game was like a 2000 year cold war with units on both sides stacked at our borders and me constantly bribing him into war while my spies told of his plots against me.
Finally in the end I...
390 isn't half bad with this stupid science penalty. My last immortal win I just finished was turn 446 I think (year 2023) and I would have gotten time victory before a launch sadly. Yet at the same Time I was raking in over 3k beakers per turn.
I wasnt even joking the combat AI is attrocious, negating any bonuses they get and with exploiting the diplomacy by selling then immediately declaring war I can get 2-3 more advanced units or 5 warriors from one luxury as soon as it is improved.
This gives me an near instant rush win over my...
If this is a joke its pretty funny, if its serious its the funniest thing I've seen in quite some time. Right now I can win diety purely by teaching my dog how to click the rush buy of horsemen or just clicking it more for more warriors, but thats too many dog treats better to go with horses.
I played 1 diety game continents/marathon used alexander and consider it somewhat of an easy win.
Phase 1 land destruction, build, sell resources buy kill kill kill. Took out the first opponent with 3 warriors and 2 phalanx at around 3000 bc. 3 more down by 1700 BC. I used some companions, but...
Its a bug with the never ending treaty fix, I had the same thing with horses. The deal ends every turn, then you get the "refund" every single thus creating unlimmited copies of a nonexisting resource.
I killed a pikeman with a mech infantry today. The pikeman did 2 damage but it was hilarious how long the battle was. They just kept stabbing away for like 10 seconds, a valiant effort. My guess is several drivers laughed themselves to heart attacks as they mowed through the spears.
I'm only at 2 non puppeted cities getting around 750 culture per turn 1550 AD immortal difficulty hopefully puppets dont count, and turn times somehow slow down so i can finish this.
Its just garbage bumbs units out of territory on declaration. Oldschool but so unrealistic.
Puppets states once again are not viable and just as broken as before. + razing is back
in style.
They didnt fix them at all they just eat your treasury.
I still cant dow on glitched civillizations...
Several possible options, I'd like to think that its depleted uranium armor that gives them their superior strength. While its possible to use a fission reaction to start a fusion chain reaction, as is used in a modern day hydrogen bomb(hopefully never), there are other more appropriate ways to...
Its not the numbers of AI units that make them weak, they usually outnumber me 4 to 1 its how they use them. I hardly lose any units, maybe 5 total in a full marathon game, they are just plain dumb with them and too easy to pick off at range.
Im playing as ghandi immortal difficulty atm. Its marathon but i've had over 400 turns out of 650 of golden age this game, and will finish out the game with another 50 as I build Utopia. So I think you can pretty much stay golden with any leader, so its not that powerful.
