    ANNOUNCEMENT: The Rules Stand

Even though I don't know how much work would be involved to add Flintock's C3X Mod to the HOF Tables, I would concur with your decision. If for no other reason: only 6 players voted, with 3 voting Yes. Hardly a "Tsunami" of Players showing interest! :) Thank you 'Slug for "Keeping The Lights...

Should the Flintlock Mod Be HOF III Legal?

I agree with you 100%, Spoonwood. I don't know anything about Flintock's Mod but I assume it would not be easy to replace ALL the entries in an HOF Table!!?? (I.e. I like to see games in the HOF Tables that were submitted 5+ years ago!) Also, I think CKS summed it up nicely...

Should the Flintlock Mod Be HOF III Legal?

Firstly, like 'slug, I didn't even know the Flintock Mod (C3X) existed and it took me a while to find the thread: https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/c3x.28759/ Secondly, if the Flintock Mod affects favorably the AI's or the Human Player's gameplay, by allowing it you wouldn't be comparing...

    July 2023 HOF III Update

Thanks for the comments and statistics Takeo & Spoonwood! :goodjob::goodjob:. Yes, if I'm going for a Huge Histographic, I want to get Pyramids from SGL at the first tech researched, or I discard the game. My city naming conventions give me info about the city without clicking on the city center...

Large Cities!.........I was getting up to 30 Pollution tiles per round. Remember, I'm a Huge Map Milking Specialist, so getting to the Domination Point quickly and having all the tiles populated is a priority. (Admittedly, I should have researched Ecology and thus Mass Transit Centers earlier...

    Quick Answers / 'Newbie' Questions

Posted at about the same time as jarred! (I.e. Basically the same answer). I think that the answer is Yes. In my experience of extreme Global Warming (i.e. Prior to discovering Mass Transit Centers), Global Warming has only deforested tiles, as many as 3 tiles per turn, on tiles outside the...

    Quick Answers / 'Newbie' Questions

Don't know the answer to this.............BUT, in my current HOF Huge Emperor Histographic game, when Global Warming "Strikes", it only clears forests on tiles outside my cities' radius, so it's entirely ineffective. :)

    Congrats to Takeo!

Yes, I, too, was a huge fan of Sir Pleb's writings and gameplay. So much so that in 2004 (I think), while spending the summer climbing The Rockies for several months in Calgary, we visited SirPleb at his home on Vancouver Island after taking the tourist train from Calgary to Vancouver. What a...

If you build a Recycling Center in your city, will it eliminate ALL Pollution generated by City Improvements or only reduce the Pollution Triangles to one? (E.g. The only City Improvement I have that generates Pollution is the Commercial Dock; so will a Recycling Center eliminate that one...

Post Short Single Player Tips Here

4 turns is the Minimum number required to research a tech. (Cheap Research Tip: If you assign only 1 beaker/turn, ANY tech will be researched in 50 consecutive-1-beaker-only turns). :)

Yes, you can add any worker to any of your cities, as long as city growth is permitted. Pro: A captured/purchased worker may not work as hard as one of yours, so it is a better choice for adding to a city. Con: If the captured worker is from an existing AI civ, the chances of the city flipping...

Yes. If you load the utility program CivAssist II, it will tell you how many beakers you will need to acquire a specific scientific tech in your game. (It will also give you a lot of other useful information, too. E.g. The tiles that can still be de-forested for the 10-Shield Bonus). ;)

    1) Yes, if you raze the city, or give the city away, you can rebuild the FP. 2) As R16 said, if you see a Sea Tile, then you can build a City Harbor on the shore.
