Not sure about Lua, but Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X by Aaron Hillegass is a highly recommended book that focuses more on Cocoa rather than Objective-C. If you just want the code, then I'd go with Learn Objective-C on the Mac by Dalrymple and Knaster. I have both of these books (although I...
Python Programming by John Zelle. Its what I used and was the first 'real' language I learned with. He does a great job covering the important things in an easy to understand language. If you're already an experienced programmer, you might want something a bit quicker paced, but otherwise this...
Since this is a scenario, and not a complete mod, try just placing it in Documents/Civilization IV/Saves/Worldbuilder. It should work if you choose choose a new scenario. A scenario will not require a restart since it is just a scenario using the same assets as an unmodded game.
Yea I knew my options would be limited, I just wanted to see if anyone knew of any better deals than what I linked to above. Since the FX5700LE appears to be in the neighborhood of $150. I'll probably go with the FX5200 I linked to above; it is $40+free shipping on Newegg.
I've got some more...
Okay, I managed to get a new computer, and I am generally pretty happy with it. I works great as a server and can play videos just fine, but when I try to play a game (namely Urban Terror or online games) it doesn't work so great. I can get about 30 fps at the most in Urban Terror (which is a...
I'm still here, mostly lurking though. :p I just haven't been modding for a while since I've been so busy. I have been toying with starting again now that basketball is over, but I think I'm just going to wait until I get done with my (5) AP tests.
Hmm, well that's not what I wanted to hear, but thanks for the replies. When replacing a motherboard, (if that is what's wrong) what parts of the computer would you say are still salvageable? Also, is there any other way I can tell what exactly is wrong before I start throwing money at it? (As...
Okay, I just bought a computer on ebay for like 30 USD to use as a file server/media center. Discounting the Windows laptop I'm borrowing for a class at the local tech college, this is the first non-mac computer I have ever owned. As such, I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to computer...
Thanks for posting this Alan. I've never really got why mods are being hosted here rather than at the c&c forum. I know I tried to expand the base for my mod as much as possible, but I suppose Xyth has more reason to only support Mac than me purely based on competition.
Anyway, I think Alan hit...
Thanks for the comments. I just poked around your thread a bit, and it does seem like a very good mod; I'll have to take some notes playing it sometime. :)
Okay, I know it has been awhile since I have posted about this mod, but I figured I'd let everyone know that I'm putting this on hold until school gets out (at the latest.) I've been pretty swamped recently with others things so I can't put any time into this mod atm. I have 3 AP courses right...
