    Underdevelopped Civs?

Why put a cap on the number of traits gained? If all of them come later in the game (with the discovery of set techs) and the statues aren't super-cheap, I'm not convinced it'd be all that unbalanced to catch 'em all.

    Trade Routes

I never said it was a good strategy. :) I was playing this game much more for my own amusement than to win. That said, even domestic trade routes can be somewhat lucrative with high population cities if they're overseas. Thanks a bunch, I'll try it!

    Trade Routes

So in a recent game I decided I'd try something new and pursue an economy based on trade. There are a lot of ways to get additional trade routes in a city- here are all the ones I could find, though I might have forgotten some: 1 to start with 1 from the Currency tech 1 from the Trade tech...

    AI and World Spells

Why, so it does! I don't believe I've actually built the thing since before the AC mechanic even existed. Shows what I know.

    AI and World Spells

I suspect you may be confusing Elegy of the Sheaim (which raises the AC) and Purge the Unfaithful (which removes non-state religions from your cities.) I don't believe Purge actually affects the AC except perhaps indirectly through removing the influence of AV.

    Dave Arneson Passed away

    They're rolling in their graves.

Your prank is foiled, good day sir!

Bad part about that one is you can only do it once. After that your victims will organize a posse and hunt you down like the dog you are.

    Illians and Snow

Right. And pardon me if this is presumptuous, but when the conversation turns to discussion of changing things it stops being entirely about lore. When changing something, the first thing to ask is this- is the current system in need of changing, given that fun and balance trump flavor? How...

    Illians and Snow

From a pure balance perspective I don't see why anything should be changed, though. The Illians aren't particularly overpowered through the whole food-from-snow thing or even the farms-on-snow thing.

    Iron Orb event

Ah, good. To be honest I'd been playing a lot of Clan and Doviello games lately just to remove the temptation. As fun as it is to find exploits, it's good that they do get fixed.

    Iron Orb event

Ah! So you have, and I didn't even notice.

    Iron Orb event

I'm quite sure, for reasons I will explain shortly, that we've all gotten this event. If you buy the orb, you can choose to add +2 beakers to your library or destroy it for a free tech. It's nice. Here's the thing, though- its event weight is set to -1. Meaning it will always happen as soon...

Shiem - PryeZombie Way too good?

Two words: Destroy Undead. A few rounds of this will kill a stack any size and keep it from exploding, to boot.

What are your three least favourite civs?

I have enjoyed playing all of these civilizations with the exception of the Mercurians. I've tried them a time or two and I have to say they're more of a pain than they're worth for any number of reasons already elaborated on but mostly because you've got an idiot AI as a millstone around your...

    Hole in elven land?

You haven't explored that single tile. It's fog of war.

    March

Courage (Spirit I spell) already does this. Regenerate (Body II) is like a free March to all units in the caster's stack.

Fall Further - Download and Current Changelog

Two quick things: -The Exchange seems to be able to be built by any civilization, but its civilopedia entry makes it sound Scions-specific. -Fishing boats cannot enter ocean, which is all well and good except that it means you cannot spread the Kingfisher guild to your overseas cities...

Fall Further - Download and Current Changelog

Esus is a generally weak religion to adopt at the moment due to lack of temples, priests, etc. Other religions are generally all good already- not saying that more fine-tuning might not be possible, but Esus is the only one that really needs more zazz (in my opinion.)
