A few questions for you guys.

    1. I'm pretty sure they don't start out with a galleon. Navigation also allows you to build a harbor which can increase food production. 2. There are islands but usually they are not good places to put a civ. Most islands only have grass and water squares, which means actually building anything...

What is your favorite victory type?

My favorite is domination. It is probably the most difficult to achieve, so I like the challenge.

What happens when you take a capital.

Well you take control of the city, and the AI will usually surrender, but if they do don't necessarily agree to peace right away, if you turn them down once, sometimes they will offer you gold.

This Game Is Way To Short

Well actually the game does go longer than the PC versions. I see what you mean by the game being short. The turns take up more time (or it at least seems like it), the AI is far more aggressive, and everything as a whole is much quicker. While it is still fun to have epic multiple day games...

    Democracies and War

Uh well if you switch to democracy it says that you won't be able to declare war. Democracy actually is a very good tool in the game. Unless you are going for a domination victory, you will want to get democracy as quickly as possible. It really helps if you are going for a tech or economic...

    future tech not working

Future tech doesn't unlock any new units or buildings or wonder or really anything much. It increases production, food, and something else I think as you research it more. Personally, if you are to the point where you are researching future tech, it's probably worth it more to change all your...

    great wall?

Great Wall is a great wonder if you are playing on a lower level. The other civs gain technology very slowly on Chieftain and Warlord, but even on Warlord it may not be worth it. As others have already said, engineering obsoletes the Great Wall, and engineering is a fairly early technology...

    The AI has no personalities

There are some civs that are more aggressive than others (Germans and Mongols), but you are right for the most part the AI acts identically. If you are playing on King or higher, it doesn't matter whether it's Gandhi or Gengis Khan, if you are about to win, they will declare war on you and just...

submarines - how are they useful?

While they are neither quick or effective attacking naval units, submarines are far cheaper than battleships and cruisers. I usually try to keep some submarines around my major cities so if another country tries to land units on my shores, I can attempt to take them out before they reach. If you...

    Wishlist, and Observations

I agree about the nukes. Not only is it pretty lame that you only get one, for being a nuclear weapon it really is not that powerful. I've had situations where even after I've nuked a city, I've had to send in a couple tank armies to capture it. When I first played and I saw the nuke, I thought...

    Another Firaxis Low Quality Product

I haven't yet had a problem with it freezing. It's probably your hardware.
