    PAE VI Patch 6.3

You don't have to be sorry, you built a great mod. There's bound to be some bugs here and there every once in a while. Speaking about bugs, I think I found another one. I was playing the Barbaricum scenario as Boudica. On 1 AD, Christianity was automatically founded in my capital. Later, I...

    PAE VI Patch 6.3

Hi, First, thanks for this great mod! I've had a lot of fun playing it and I really like how feature-rich it is while still being perfectly balanced. I've noticed I was unable to build the valetudinarium (playing Julius Caesar in the Ancient Europe XXL map). Indeed, clicking the button...

    PAE VI

Just completed my first playthrough (Romans, Eurasia XL, Marathon, Noble). Great mod! Before starting my second playthough, I thought I might give my first impressions. Overall, I loved it. There are a lot of great new features which make for challenging issues to tackle yet not overwhelming...

    Jungle camp OP?

I too feel like the Jungle Camp improvement tends to be overpowered, especially when playing a leader with the Nomad trait (+1F +1H from Jungle Camps).

    Movement limits in early eras

Does the "movement limits" feature apply to Barbarian-controlled units?

    Settling on 2nd turn

I play Marathon Speed and will sometimes not settle in place (at least one out of 10 starts, I'd say) for all the reasons named above. On Quick Speed, however, I wouldn't even think about it. A Quick Speed Turn is worth 5 Marathon Speed Turns IIRC. So I'd say speed should come into the...

    Biggest mistakes newbies make!

One which I testified yesterday during a LAN yesterday - Using your first available citizen not to work a tile but as a city citizen to "enhance production" The funny thing is he had enhanced work-able grassland cows in his capital BFC: 4F/2H for like 200 turns. He got back to the #2 spot...

What to do with city ruins?

I will improve every tile with similar features before that one, then I will eventually improve it when needed. If it's outside a city's BFC, I will not ever remove it unless I need it for irrigation or to prepare a new city site (in which case, I will apply the former method). Yes, unless...

    Attacko - "Timing"

There is a layer of abstraction behind each and every of attacko's words. It's all about interpretation. Obviously, there is no dawn or dusk in civilization; but if you consider a game starting from 4000BC to 2050AD as a long journey or as a day (metaphor), you will understand the true meaning...

2 quick questions...civ jewelers life expectancy

So it's better for your citizens to have a short life expectancy, right? It means you did not build more +health buildings than needed. And good to know approval rate is based on happiness, always thought it was based on relationships with AIs.

    what does religious influence indicate?

A city's population can be viewed by hovering over the city name in the city management screen. I also believe it's a percentage based on population although I have not checked. It's a valuable information to know which shrines are worthy to capture although this information is usually...

    Chopping

When starting a game with mining, I'll almost always go to BW/worker first. If I have any resource which has at least a +3 :hammers: | +3 :food: | +3 mix of both yield when improved, I'll improve this resource first if I can - or will prioritize the improvement building tech, e.g. corn ->...

    Workers

OK, that was a typo here. It's 4 workers for 3 cities. As I stated, the goal is to never work unimproved tiles which I believe is 'the inferior'. And improving tiles you don't work is not optimum. IIRC, workers count as units and cost gold. Having more workers than you need is therefore costly...

    Workers

I usually build less than 1.5 worker per city, especially in the ancient era during which every hammer saved is worth a lot. For every 4 cities, I'll try to have 3 workers (~ 1.33 worker per city). But I play Marathon, so workers move faster from one place to another than on other speeds...

    Uniform opposition?

Maybe it suffers the same bias as the religion propagation feature (advantage because of XML file order). But one would need to check the code to find that out. Civilizations XML file: Beyond the Sword\Assets\XML\Civilizations\CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml
