    Ways to check historical settlement?

Check the Atlas thread. The dynamic maps in there have some of what you want, I think.

    Colonies in RFC BtS

I think the trouble is that RFC already uses as many civilizations as the game allows you. It's already modded to allow more than 18 civs, but all those slots are taken, between the regular civs and the Independents, Natives, and Celts/Byzantines. It is a shame, though, that England can't...

    American spawn?

Some civs never come back. I mean, they all have a chance to but it's a shot in the dark whether the Aztecs actually will. As for vassals, I just had a great game where my loyal voluntary vassals Mali and India remained willingly under my control from 1709 until I hit Domination in 1956...

    Pure Domination and/or Conquest possible?

Just got myself a Domination Victory as the Turks from the 600 AD start on the version that shipped with BTS. The main problem throughout was stability. There were a few turns in the 18th century where I was oscillating from Unstable to Collapsing and back for a nerve-wrackingly long time...

    RFC: Easiest Historical Victory?

Raven, The UHVs aren't meant to be easy. Some of them (Persia) are effectively impossible on Monarch. I think one devotee got the Persian UHV, and it may have been on Viceroy, only after dozens and dozens of tries. In many cases, the UHVs are a lot harder than a standard type of victory...

    Swamp may need fixing

Random thought: why can't we put Forest Preserves on swamps? Gotta Save the Wetlands!!! And grants a very slight boost. Would be nice. Too unbalancing?

    Why is Byzantine Leaderheadless?

Whitefire, Glad to hear somebody is making a modcomp, because I'd like nothing more than to stop those Turks in their tracks at the gate of the Queen of Cities. I await it eagerly! :goodjob: Might I suggest a possible UHV point? -Control Rome, Constantinople, Carthage, and Alexandria in...

    Game Maps

I'm curious about this too... anyone know how to do it with preset (historical) starting locations but the option to pick the civs every time?

    Earth18Civs

I'm confused. I don't have an Earth18Civs for BtS. It includes the CivIV/Warlords one, but there's no new one with the new civs unlocked.. you can't select them. What am I doing wrong? It looks like it includes an Earth1000AD (at least, it doesn't say CivIV or Warlords after the name) but...

    Hah. That's precocious. And apt.

What are the best civic combinations for Warlords 143?

All those revolutions might have something to do with it. Maybe the emancipation and free speech along with Occupation as well? Occupations tend to be... suppressive.

    NitroJay's Late Start Saved Games

Wonderful! I can't wait to try it! Unfortunately that may be a while from now since I have a lot of work in the next few days and then I'm off for a vacation to... Constantinople! And Egypt! And Athens! All well within the East Roman Empire, I'll note! :king:

    Age Poll

I'm 21 and would post a photo except I don't like giving out personal info over the internet. And this isn't the photo thread. You darn teenagers. *shakes gnarled stick* Back when I was your age, I, uh... registered for CFC? And didn't post much?

    NitroJay's Late Start Saved Games

I support 1 and 4 also. I "plum forgot" about the plague but it really did depopulate the East (Syria and the Levant) along with Persian raiding. According to an article I read it was among the main reason for that region becoming very backwater and isolated over a course of just fifty years or...

    NitroJay's Late Start Saved Games

So, Nitro, you asked for feedback. Here it is. I played up until a few turns after Germany's spawn before dinner time and this is what I noticed. First of all, as I feared (and kind of hoped :mischief:), Nova Roma is much too powerful. Honestly at first glance you can't tell that it's not...

    NitroJay's Late Start Saved Games

@LuKo: I'm not sure about this. Honestly it can go either way. However, I will debate one thing: the East Roman Empire is not the 'same' in terms of nomenclature as the HRE. The HRE was founded by Charlemagne and other Germans/Franks, not Romans. It took up the heritage of Rome to some extent...

    Unique Civ-Specific Great People Names

So since development is over can somebody turn this into a modcomp? I think it's a great idea and Gaius Octavius has put a lot of work into it, and I'd be delighted to install it. If only there were a download/I knew how!

    NitroJay's Late Start Saved Games

Mr. Jay, Dare I ask why you are thinking of making the Byzantines Independents? I strongly think you should make them, not Independent, but the Roman Civ. Or, possibly, the Greek civ, but Rome preferably. The name 'Byzantine' did not exist until well after 1453, when the empire fell...

    V143 Colonial Powers!

Not only that, Spain ran into economic troubles because, paradoxically, of the massive amounts of gold and silver brought back from the New World. It devalued currencies across Europe and ultimately ended the Spanish Golden Age! Much as it does in Rhye's because of maintenance! Yay for...

    Easiest and Most Difficult UHVs?

Easiest for me have been Greece, Egypt, and England. Hardest for me, of the ones I've tried, are Arabia, Mongols, and most of all Persia! Especially since someone finally managed to do Persia... barely!
