I just want to say Dromon. Why? It outclasses the others. It comes along before the Brits/English get their MoW and the Portugese with their Carrack too. It dominates the seas plus the land bombard is murderous. It's not lethal but a fleet of 30 rendered about 5 cities with 1 hp defenders...

Agriculture is where its at!! Larger cities faster. Couple that with oh say industrious... and you get the Mayans. Enslaving barbs is gravy. Also like to take commercial/seafaring if i put it on archipelago maps. To the guys who said 'religion' earlier, how you like the celts now...

Also what era are you in? In ancient times you can build marketplace once you get currency tech banking is in middle ages. The corporation is in industrial age (gives you stock markets) and the combustion (IIRC) gives the commercial dock. Another thing to watch is unit maintenence. Like...

Awesome scenario. I have a request - make it longer... on one hand it is the right length for a good game of civ but so many times playing it I've thought drat!! just when i was about to really teach (insert enemy civ name) a lesson. How hard would it be to do weeks ? I saw time increasing...

btw feudalism is good if you go to war under you can most likely bombard the city down to a town. I kept building up my core cities and frontier towns stayed towns for the support..

There's an American Civil War scenario released for conquests (ACW). I've downloaded some graphics mods, Snoop, WarpStorm Watercolor, Rhye's Deep Blue. All are absolutely beautiful recommend them all. :goodjob:

supposing they fix the bug, communism might be feasible. Feudalism _can_ be better than monarchy for war-mongering. Just have to keep in mind that towns give you more support than city or metros. I later switch to Fascism its swell for war monger. If you're peaceful I'd say stay on...

War-mongering with new gov'ts? Anyone care to give tips... like Monarchy -> Feudalism -> Fascism ? With all the increased corruption I'm almost scared to try communism again, so that's why _I_ didn't mention it. One thing I haven't looked up is if Feudalism has WW or not...
