I am new to this forum since CiV came out, and I find it strange that everyone here dislikes the game. The game received outstanding reviews from all reviewers, how could they all be wrong? What is so terrible about this game that has everyone complaining?

America. Their bonus doesn't force you to adopt any particular strategy, and their unique units look noob friendly. The perfect starter civilization.

Japan plus honor and autocracy = unstoppable army.

City states. In Civ IV, one small continent would consist of 2 nations. Boring. In Civ V, one small continent has 7 nations; 2 large nations and 5 small nations. Much more interesting and a much larger ground for action.
