Make sure you have the Wonder screen (with the painting and voice-over) pop up when you build the Wonder.
For several Wonders I had built them but didn't have any log file credits. I noticed I had "No Reward Pop-ups" active. Likely I hadn't even bothered to click the notification; I got...
You may be right of course, I can't speak for others or the general Civ playing community.
The better solution is of course to improve the tactical AI to the point where it can compete with a human. I'm just worried that Firaxis will never have the resources to do this.
I see most of this discussion is comparing Civilization AI and Chess AI in terms of the differences in combinatorial explosion, limited information, etc.
However I'd like to point out some of the challenges that a Civilization AI programmer faces that a Chess programmer does not.
1. Poorly...
Heh, I'm almost certain that the tutorial counts as a mod for achievement purposes. It shows up in WorldBuilder as a mod. Unfortunately I can't test this since I've already gotten credit on my Steam account.
The log file mentioned above tracks each basic unit type and each unique unit. So the answer seems to be that no, you don't need to build basic units with each civ.
However, like others on the hidden achievement thread, I have been unable to get credit for building any Lancer units (Sipahi is...
Apologies for creating a new thread for this question.
How can I add a full size image to a post?
When I tried the image came out thumbnail sized. See this post.
Are you still accepting TS1 games? Anyway, here's mine. Nothing special here, but I may as well post it. I still need to read the other after action reports.

This was my first playthrough of this map.
Fun map. I loved the snaky Pangaea. Having Germany near...
You have a lot of good points here. I'm finding that civ 5 is definitely a fun game. If they could solve the many polishing issues then it could be a great game.
Good writeup. I'll just respond to a few points.
We still have some work to do to understand diplomacy. Factors may include: your military strength, your happiness, your culture, how close your borders are, your actions regarding city-states, etc. I wish they would just make the modifiers...
This is a very useful list Lord Olleus.
One thing you may want to add is what terrain types resources can occur on. This is listed in Civolopedia, but we shouldn't assume that is correct. Also in some cases Civolopedia is confusing, e.g. as far as I have observed sheep occur only on hills...
I'm still trying to figure out what is the source for the GameFaqs list. I've done some text searches through the installed game files and they aren't mentioned anywhere (unless they are encrypted). There may be some other ways of getting info about steam achievements, I don't know much about...
A few of my guesses.
Hundred Years War
Be at war with an enemy civilization for 100 turns?
I'm going to try this in one my next games and see if it works.
Inconceivable!
Be completely wiped out by an AI civilization?
The icon for this achievement is a computer with a skull. Although... since...
One strategy is to try to get a hammer and a gold on every tile to take advantage of golden ages (+1 hammer on a tile that has at least one hammer and +1 gold on a tile that has at least one gold). If the tile already has one of both, then farm it.
For example, river hills already have hammers...
