Even worse, in civ4 multiplayer you can lose ur capital from an ennemy starting warrior with worker start gambit in a couple of turns.

Do you think Scythia with double horsemen makes this a lot easier? This civ is auto banned in mp games. The AI reacts like new players trying the game in mp for their first times as well. Kinda pathetic. But you are a good player. Your skills dumb down the game a lot, at least in sp and noob mp...

What you want is no districts+peaceful+no pillaging. Insert one of them and it's suddenly too easy

Yeah absolutely. At online speed they are even more relevant. Like scout start. So i guess the speed can affect choices. If one player play marathon or epic the need of fast scouting is slightly reduced because you still have time to do it a bit later.
