    DoC PBEM never never ever?

Wasn't the biggest problem with RFC multiplayer something like "haha, I'm Babylon, I win before you're even born?"

The Great DoC UHV v 1.10 challenge

Hmm... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corea Regarding the capital, you may well be right. The spot I used includes rice in the BFC, but I hardly ever worked the tile for the entire game. You'd raze Shimiyan hoton then, yes?

The Great DoC UHV v 1.10 challenge

Cambronne has posted a Korea victory in this thread before. (It's misspelled as Corea in strijder's OP). It was obvious that it could be completed a lot faster than 1742AD. Youtien's finish in the 1.9 thread was pretty late too. Here we go! My start was pretty similar to Youtien's, though I...

The Great DoC UHV v 1.10 challenge

Which civilization experienced no changes at all? Even if nothing was tweaked for that specific civ, others around have changed, influencing this one. The barbarian overhaul touches every civilization before America's independence (for example, you need to exert -some- effort to protect North...

The Great DoC UHV v 1.10 challenge

Inspired by some strategy discussion elsewhere on the forum, I decided to see what all the fuzz was about and played Poland. Yuck. I really have no idea what they're doing in the mod. The goals are all really tight, leaving little room for having fun. They are also indeed very luck based. I had...

The Great DoC UHV v 1.10 challenge

Nice work, and welcome to civfanatics! It always feels good to score another victory, doesn't it? Too bad about the crash. You could go into the worldbuilder and make some changes to trigger a different victory type so that you'll at least know your score. Deleting every other civ is a lot of...

    Bug reports and technical issues

I suspect the soaring high economic rating during a golden age is Leoreth's implementation of limiting the permanent stability penalty you used to get at the end of one, but I have no idea how it works exactly. Probably only he can answer that.

    Bug reports and technical issues

Only slaves in cities perhaps? That's the same way turning troops into mercenaries work, right? (Except the latter doesn't seem to work properly)

The Great DoC UHV v 1.10 challenge

In my game, the Ottoman empire was huge, running through east Europe, south Germany and covering all of France. (All of France? No, a tiny village still offered resistance to the Ottoman legions.) After I adopted Secularism, they got friendly despite close borders. It was a very sweet position...

The Great DoC UHV v 1.10 challenge

I founded Catholicism without bulbing . In all my playthroughs and restarts, scientists and building research were enough to get theology before the great prophet was ready in the second city. Still, it might be worthwhile to bulb it anyway and start researching calendar instead...

The "OMG! Look what happened in DoC!" Thread

He would need another medieval technology such as Theology to be able to grab Feudalism with the Oracle. Goodie hut seems more likely indeed.

The Great DoC UHV v 1.10 challenge

Ethiopia is rather annoying. Your starting location stinks, unique unit takes a while to come into play, stability is bad and it literally takes ages to complete the UHV. Still, after having tried before and losing to stability, I was determined to finish the damn thing. The start was slightly...

    Suggestions and requests

Emigrants usually leave their country because they aren't happy with their current place. Even truly liberal nations aren't utopia. They might be unemployed, break up with their family, have a particularly bad city mayor, who knows. The American Dream promises a better life with equal...

Dawn of Civilization - an RFC modmod by Leoreth

You know, slave trade has always been awesome. For slave traders. A matter of perspective!

The "OMG! Look what happened in DoC!" Thread

Yeah, who needs axemen when you can crush the Persians with Knights :D Though I wonder how he got that with only one and a half city.

The "OMG! Look what happened in DoC!" Thread

Or perhaps a reason to make auto-razing a one-pop city not cost stability.

The Great DoC UHV v 1.10 challenge

The challenge is to play your civilization from start to finish. Setting up favourable conditions with an earlier civilization would be unfair and make things far too easy. Definitely not allowed.

    Stability mechanics help

Your vassals should give negative stability if their own stability is low. Founding new religions and spreading non-related religions also give stability penalties. (Even with Secularism, strangely enough.) It seems your civics do give you a bonus: +13 for combinations, on the top right. The...
