Ed hinting at more South American civs

Ah. Forgot about that. I never played Colonization much although I started playing civ at civ 4. Still, the Arawak have never been in a base game

Ed hinting at more South American civs

I'd love to see Arawak. Civ has never had anyone to represent the Caribbean area, if I remember correctly

Who should represent the Native Americans in civ 6?

I voted, Chinook, although I considered Cahokia too. Chinook would work more for TSL and I think would be really interesting, but on the other hand, I have been to the Cahokia mounds in Illinois and they are incredible. Both would be great. Also, I'll put a plug in for Ute. They aren't the most...

Ed hinting at more South American civs

Gran Colombia didn't exist for very long, but I could see them to fill in northern South America.

Qin Shi Huang returns as leader of China

If the Great Wall is an improvement, does that mean it won't be a world wonder?

    Balanced Civ Lineup for TSL?

I like this development, considering that I have always wished for more spread out civs to really represent the whole world. I have always wanted to see a Taino/Carib civ in the game, as unlikely as it may be. Europe is well represented, and if USA, Aztecs, and a western American Civ like the...

2nd Settler..... do you build or wait for liberty?

I take liberty first in most games I play, and usually wait for the settler from liberty. Unless I am in a rush to expand, waiting seems to work alright, especially if I get a culture ruin. I sometimes feel I am being too cautious or not expanding enough, however.

What wonders you would like to see in a third expansion?

Yes!! Well I am definitely biased towards it, because my mom is from St Louis and I visit twice a year, but I still think it might deserve a spot as a wonder. We have no wonders that are really focused on "pioneering", IIRC, and I think the Arch could give the following benefit: Settlers move...

Noob Question here about making let's play vids

Well I just started my first ever lets play 2 weeks ago, (http://www.youtube.com/user/miztigers55 is where you can find it), and for me I use Camstudio, which is free, and the Xvid Codec. This seems to work pretty well for me. I guess you should check out the "How to create your own Let's Play...

What will be your first strategy you use in your first game of BNW?

To Ptoss1: Sounds fun! Please tell us how that ends up working out. To CrossTheRiver: Probably what my first game will end up devolving into

What will be your first strategy you use in your first game of BNW?

As the title says, what strategy will you use in your first game of BNW? I think I will go with a big trade empire with lots of CS allies, and a strong diplomatic game (Lots of power in the World Congress/UN) as either Portugal or Morocco, or maybe even Venice. What will yours be?

Soooo I just got the cinematic for BNW?

My computer must be on, I assume (sorry for my total lack of how downloads work)

    BNW Download

Another quick question: If I preordered but I didn't get the preload, will it still auto download at midnight for me? (I'm assuming it releases at Midnight EST)

Soooo I just got the cinematic for BNW?

So I preordered this morning, and I don't have the new main menu graphic or the new intro movie. Will BNW auto download at midnight? Or will I have to manually start it when I wake up? (hopefully I can get myself to wake up at 5 for maximum playing time lol)

Any1 else thinks rushing steel longsword tech as Russia is an exploit?

But even if it isnt revolutionary, isn't it still important enough to be a tech? Some things on the tech tree weren't revolutionary per se, but they still were important enough or led to important enough things to be put on the tech tree. Back on topic: I don't really think they are OP...

Your 3 Fav civs this far?

1: The Netherlands: Polders are awesome, and sea beggars are as well. I can get lots of money fast as them. 2: Arabia: I love camel archers, and the UB allows me to get trading partners and get cash. 3: Siam: Great for growing your capital fast. I got a culture victory and a size 66 capital...

    Interesting Babylon Start

Well. That really is a lot of water resources, so you would have got great food, gold, and production. Did you pick the pantheon giving +1 production from fishing boats? That would have made for crazy production. I might have to try that map myself! Also, welcome to the forums!!

    Thanks guys

I too would like to thank everyone here, for basically getting me back into the best computer game out there! I hadn't played Civ5 seriously in almost half a year, but I said one day "well why dont I check out what Civfanatics is up to?" Then I found out about the expansion, and i got really...

    Native American Civ Poll

Yay, another Ute supporter! Yes they have some overlap with the Shoshone, but they would be fun as a civ, I think. Hell, they even have a state (and a fairly successful college football team) named after them! So I voted for the Ute, Cherokee, Inuit, Seminole, and Shawnee (who I most want to...

    Exploration Policy Discussion

[/SPOILER] I think it's an pretty good tree, I like some benefits a lot and dislike others. With a few changes, it can be awesome. Here are my ideas: -Opener: +1 movement and sight for all naval units. This is good as is. -Maritime Culture (changed Maritime Infrastructure) +3 production in...
