Nexus Buddy 2 - Granny Editor for Civ 5

Make a copy of the .ftsxml with a different name, add it to your mod (VFS=true), then edit your .fxsxml and change the TimedTrigger line to the new filename.

Nexus Buddy 2 - Granny Editor for Civ 5

Though changing the Mesh and Textures in the .fxsxml file doesn't do anything in-game, changing the TimedTrigger reference to your new .ftsxml does work.

    [BNW] 3D model

A quick glance doesn't tell me why it doesn't work as-is (I didn't actually try it in-game), but to use the galleass model instead, you'd edit "Code\GameDefines.sql" and change where it says: ('ART_DEF_UNIT_TAR_SAO'), to UnitArtInfo, i.e., including removing the parentheses and apostrophes ('...

    Nexus Viewer Help???

It seems to be saying that the assets path is too long (more than 260 characters, but unless you changed the path since the last time you posted a regedit screenshot, I don't know why).

    Nexus Viewer Help???

Sorry, it's been a long time... Um, are you sure you're double-clicking on Nexus.exe to open it (don't use the launcher).

    Nexus Viewer Help???

Just to be sure: Are you using the old version of the SDK for the viewer? Also, IIRC, some models require you to open and re-save them in Nexus Buddy first.

    Tu-95 trail

There are the bones used to place the propellers (in front of the engines): fx_PROPELLER_bone01 fx_PROPELLER_bone02 fx_PROPELLER_bone03 fx_PROPELLER_bone04 I guess you could try to also attach the contrails to them in the .ftsxml, though I'm not sure whether that would look good or not. FYI, I...

    Tu-95 trail

It looks like the bones labelled "fx_WingTrail_L" and "fx_WingTrail_R" were improperly placed. Someone would need to edit the model to move them.

    Hiden .ftsxml

Re: the triggers files, they should be in the Resource\Common\*.fpk files. Either use the Extract PAK script in Nexus, or download the third party tool Dragon UnPACKer. Re: the values you mention in UnitMemberCombatWeapons... I dunno.

    Ethnic Diversity (R.E.D. Unofficial)

I may be making an update soon that will incorporate most of his changes, but for now I suggest you use Dolen's Ethnic Diversity instead: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/dolen2s-ethnic-diversity.659564/

    Ethnic Diversity (R.E.D. Unofficial)

For those who are having crashes, I collected the compatibility fixes I'm aware of, and attached it to the bottom of the first post: https://forums.civfanatics.com/attachments/ethnicdiversity29-crashfixes2-zip.558043/ Thanks to @Kewlipo for your help! If anyone else has discovered problem units...

    Requested Mods

Note there's a unit request thread if you're requesting new models. Anyway, FWIW, Ethnic Diversity has many of these already (see link in my sig). It's got almost 3x as many unique units as Ethnic Units, which hasn't been updated since 2014. If you want to make your own edits to Ethnic Units...

    Ethnic Diversity (R.E.D. Unofficial)

Are you saying it's incompatible (besides the increased possibility you're going to run into RAM issues, which is an un-fixable limitation of the game engine)? If instead you're just asking about diversity for the new units, if you can give me links to suggested unit models, I'd be happy to add...

    City States Leaders II

Oh my gosh! Good catch. There was a guy on Steam who I think had the issue, but if I recall he was being a bit of a jerk, so I never got any help resolving it. Are you not using Enhanced UI? CSL has now been included there (and it doesn't have this issue).

    Unit Request Thread

Unfortunately, there aren't many weaponless units, since there aren't any weaponless animations. If you want a quick and dirty reskin job, I'd go with reskinning the zombie (e.g., I reskinned it to make an ice golem). Otherwise, you'd have to re-rig a unit to new animations (there are a few...

    Unit Request Thread

You're apparently looking in: Advanced Naval Units (v 9)\Surface\Light Cruiser\ which contains a couple of units. Looking at the texture sheets alone is misleading, as it looks like the ironclad is using the files you're asking about just for the cannon pieces (hence the filename). The...

    Unit Textures

If you want to do that kind of modding, you could make edits, move the files to the Assets folder (anywhere under Assets), and add "LooseFilesOverridePAK = 1" to your config.ini. Otherwise, if you're making a proper mod, you would add the files to your mod in ModBuddy, and set them VFS=true...

    Nexus Viewer Help???

You'll need a plugin, i.e.: https://code.google.com/archive/p/gimp-dds/ EDIT: Note for reference that the user interface dds files (the ones with an accompanying index file) have to be unpacked to be used with an editor. This program...

@civplayer33 : FYI, Civ3 units are animations rendered from 3D models, but the models themselves aren't included. Even if you had access to the model, they tend to be pretty low poly count.

    Nexus Viewer Help???

The default would have been the same without the ".OLD". But again, that would NOT explain an issue with "a problem with the SDK" "not working properly" (whatever that means). The .xml files for the Celts aren't separated, they're spread out with everything else between the 10 civs in the...
