thanks guys .I never realized that bananas are different from most other resources/luxuries.I almost feel silly because I usually play as Monty and had never noticed it before.:D

In my last two games I have had a huge problem with (bananas) resorces not registering. I worked the tiles (plantations) and nothing...they are not in my resorce list and I cannot trade them. its as if they were not even there.

yes, now I am. the problem was that the forest/jungle tile were not within the cultural borders.still haven't figured out the screenshot thing though but I am trying.

thanks snarzberry. the cities are connected culturally but what you are saying is the forest/jungle tiles must also be within those cultural boarders ?

playing as the Iroquois, I noticed that the UA wasn't working the way I thought it would.there was no trade route between my 2 cities even though they are connected by forest/jungle tiles.Am I missing something ?

Honor opener is great for Monty. I'vebeen trying it alot with him.go honor(first)hunt barbs then go all of liberty,with maybe a little stagger to time PT or ND.I do usually open with Liberty first with everyone else, Monty is the exception....you get +12 cult. for a barb brute.

if you want a different approach try the Aztec's 1)u will get DoW'd early so getting culture for killing units is great early on,if you couple this with Honor opener you can get +12 culture for every barb. brute. 2)floating gardens = fast growth

any CS's on his island....you could friend them and go with GDR's instead.

its more about roads.....4 seems like the most, sometimes I push 5 if I have to.

Arabia is very nice for buying CS's ,had a fun time in that game.

England was a blast. SoTL just dominates for so long. I could have played so much better, but won a DOM game.I must try POLY for a nice culture game.
