Woman Texting falls into a fountain. Best course of action? Sue.

It seems likely that an argument could be made about defamatory actions. However, nobody would know this person's name if she didn't attack the cameras with the ferocity of Chuck Schumer on Sunday morning. Outside of a few people, who would even be able to tell that was her on the video?

Comings, Goings and New Arrivals V

Aimee, whatever your reasons, best of luck in your continuing endeavors. I can vouch for that.

    Going to Mongolia

All I can say is Godspeed to the thought, if you can ever put it together at another time. I signed up for such a travel course, three weeks in Mongolia and China following a course taught by one of my favorite professors. But then the rent went too damn high and put an end to that.

Woman Texting falls into a fountain. Best course of action? Sue.

She feels humiliated by the video. But going on Good Morning America to complain about it? No problem. I weep for this country. Maybe this lady has a case based on the leak and maybe she doesn't, but for God's sake this is just stupid.

Random Rants XXVII: The Rent Is Too Damn High!

At least the bums in downtown New York had the decency to do it on the stairs of the Park Place stop.

    Can someone explain weddings?

My mother gave me her engagement ring, which was no small cost. I did buy my fiancee a substitute for work/late nights, whenever she feels more comfortable leaving the actual ring behind, from QVC for less than $100. We likely won't be able to afford a honeymoon within the first year...

Which computer games do you have fond memories of?

Ah, yeah, James Pond. Had that and James Pond II, though the fonder memories were with the first one. Played that early Saturday mornings instead of watching cartoons.

    NFL Playoffs 2011

:rotfl: Even after a playoff win, the Seahawks are 8-9. I'm rooting for them the rest of the way.

Which computer games do you have fond memories of?

Well, they're all computers, but I always had the difference between your general consoles and the PC games. Probably because the gaming magazines did the same. And I had consoles long before I had a PC. Well, in that case, some of my first games when I got a Sega Genesis when I was 6...

Which computer games do you have fond memories of?

I haven't had very many PC games. My earliest ones were Age of Empires II, Tropico, and Emperor: Battle for Dune. I had much fun with all three. I've historically been more of a console gamer.

    US Congresswoman shot in Arizona

Thus far, it was reported that the Congresswoman was responsive (whatever that means) to commands prior to surgery and that there is a fairly positive outlook on her. If she were brain dead, I'm sure we'd have heard somewhat differently by now. However, that doesn't really say what the...

    Can someone explain weddings?

Pics or it didn't happen. :mischief: Of course, if you're willing to throw a $10,000 wedding for your favorite Yankee, I'll make sure you're allowed to wear a skirt and be drunk. Aside from the costs, what I also don't seem to understand are the large gatherings. Maybe it's because I...

    Can someone explain weddings?

The cheez and crackers at mine will show everyone I can't. I don't understand the multi-million-dollar weddings. But that extends to birthday parties, New Year's parties, and blow-lots-of-cash parties.

    US Congresswoman shot in Arizona

Somebody had to elect the congresswoman. Probably a number of those at that supermarket. Obviously, more speculation. It's possible he just like shooting live targets, too.

    US Congresswoman shot in Arizona

Apparently, she was responsive to commands. But that's a pretty broad statement. Source: TV That doesn't necessarily mean anything. Plenty of Communists aren't actually a part of the Party/ies. And based on the rest of the list, he may have just been a fan of more extreme political works.

    US Congresswoman shot in Arizona

What's been found from this guy's ramblings thus far is more than enough for people to speculate and twist into every direction. I am beginning to wonder, whichever vision wins out, what it may say for the tone of this year.

I'd also raise an Andrew Jackson, Zachary Taylor, Harold Stassen, and Jim Webb among the many veterans that ran for and sometimes won office.

    US Congresswoman shot in Arizona

At least West Virginians elected the guy who fired at a law. But from what it seems from this guy, he was certifiably nuts. Curious to see if we find out if this was a longtime thing where he weirded out his schoolmates with his rhetoric or if some event triggered it.

    US Congresswoman shot in Arizona

Depends on the outcome of that hit, whether the person had a license, etc. It probably wouldn't get to murder if it was in defense, but there are some serious charges that could be laid in that.
