Does anyone know if there is a keyboard shortcut to make all automated units move at the start of the turn? That way I can have all my transports move their goods and then manually take stuff to Europe, etc.
Thanks!
PS: I figured it out, it's CONTROL-A.
Yeah, it'd be nice to have an option on what inventory gets sold or maybe just what inventory will not be touched, whichever is easier. Dunno how hard that would be to program into the game since I know nothing about modding...but it'd be a nice addition.
Marla_Singer, I think it's a wonderful idea! I'd love to see this added but know nothing about modding so I'm not much help except as a cheerleader and someone to bounce ideas off of.
That's a good one...I'm playing first game through on RAR and have been selling lumber for next to nothing in Europe. Thanks!
Wondering if anyone has tips for trading with the natives...? This part of my game is sorely lacking and I can't quite seem to figure out what to trade to them and it...
Just discovered this recently...really impressed by all the work and think the team did an awesome job! This is what Colonization should have been from the start...definitely got me into "1 more turn..."
Thank you all!
Edit: Also, one question: is there a way to jump directly into R&R instead...
In case you're forgetting, that's the Liberty policy that gives you golden age and makes the cost of future cities increase policy cost by 10% (from 15%).
Worth getting before settling or is it retroactive?
Thanks in advance!
I've found that when I'm next to a very aggressive civ and don't want to war just yet or want to make a DoF with a civ, giving them a gift can go a long ways. Send them something marginally useful (horses or iron), especially if it's someone that will DoW you.
For example, if you send Iron...
Just got BNW, so first time every running through a full game and guess my time was much longer than most. Didn't use sacred sites because I didn't know what it was...oh well. Was fun and a good learning experience!

Like you said, it's so victory condition dependant. What Civ you are playing also makes a huge difference.
Windmills are one building that is generally high cost for low benefit unless it's a production focused city or you're just trying to build every building in all your cities, which you...

So...another 268 victory. Was really hoping for 267 but I procrastinated too much early.
Settled in place, built another city next to other mountain...

I've seen numerous people post about being stuck on a unit for 15+ seconds after they move the unit/give it orders due to a slower processor. This trick works reliably for me:
After moving your unit, hit "w". It'll quickly select the next unit instead of waiting for that unit to be...
So I've worked out my Tradition strat pretty well thanks to posts in these forums but really struggle with liberty. If I'm going liberty, I'm playing a Civ that uses ICS/REX or both, and can manage that (for the most part) but never end up getting the NC because I'm building cities too quick...
6-7 hours is not uncommon...
10 hours is quite possible on one of my days off, assuming my wife doesn't come home and want to spend time with me.
Yup, CivFanatic.
I'm sorry if this has been brought up before, I didn't see it anywhere...
After building a polder on a marsh, can I then clear the marsh without losing the polder?
Thanks for the help!
