Yep satellites were launched. Strangely, the required affinity looks a bit pale as if I don't have the required affinity. But I'm at 18 now. Lost the game anyway so I'll try again to see if it happens again.
Title says it all. I've had the exodus gate technology and the required affinity for almost 150 turns and I was still unable to build it.
Either it's a bug or I needed some other tech to build it. Any idea on what happened???
Nice to read you. Gengis can be a real pain in the neck at times but Sejong? In my games he's usualy a dependable guy, not a dirty backstabber like Alexander. Ho well, maybe a random script showed up ^^.
Waiting for the next part.
Yeah, I know I don't have to go the religious way but I had messengers of the gods and quite a few allied CS filled with my religion as well as a good trade route set with many neighbourghs which were giving me money and happiness by the tons. Having been hit with Theo's religions would've been...
Oki, Now I'm ready for Emperor difficulty. I just have to learn to temper my temper...
I was doing a nice science victory using faith as a back up to get GS. At turn 135 I calculated that I would win around turn 260-280... I was so proud of me and then Theodora did it again...
The only war...
I don't know if the OP is still here but I did laugh and wonder...
Then I found out what everyone missed out.
Where is good ol' Julius?
Julius, of the Romans, is in my games, the most annoying civ leader I can have. Montezuma I can manage as his army is usually weak and unprepared for my...
I'd like to see only one thing
1) What are you doing near my border? Are you about to DoW on me?
The rest I can live with those and stay happy about them. But not being able to force their hand, other than DoW myself is quite frustrating.
Thx for the comment Tommynt.
So far, all my games in which I tried honnor as a starter, ended up with me knee deep in revolting citizens...:ar15:
A full war game (with my meager skills) are always a fight to get some happiness to keep on going. I tried razing, selling back the cities to no...
I'm not playing on huge maps. I'm more of a "standard" type of play. Always seem that I'm missing some key ressources. Of course, if you go on an assimilition spree then you take up a lot of space and resources from your conquered :spear: neighbourg...
Maybe it's part of the reason that you...
As Tabarnak said, Tradition is now quite superior. What I really like to see is a small buff to Honnor... Almost no one takes it now. Check many LP and you'll see that almost no one takes honnor.
OMG... just finished watching Dave's vid. For the first 70 turns, it's almost a copy paste, right to the postion of the first three cities. It's after that that it becomes obvious that Dave is way beyond my skill... Still it was inspirationnal. Maybe I should replay with Dave's vid in windows...
Won after 328 turns in 1908.
Great start, it went bad after almost everyone DoW on me so I'v had to build an army.
This was my first time with the Persian. Made a few mistakes, and i'm sure I can shave off 30 turns or so. (build an army earlier would have saved me from so many DoW).
After...
Finaly won, but far from being able to get close to your finish dates.
Thought a long time it was a continental game... the pangean took me by surprise.
Would have won at turn 257 or 258 as my armies were surounding my long time ally Alexander but got tired of that game (I hate playing...
I chose a horsemen rush, initialy but Montezuma thougth of killing me asap. I had to research Archery just to survive. But finaly, I eliminated Montezuma in classical age.
Now mounting (litteraly) an army to take on Alexander. Iron is still a little problem but my horsemen should do the trick.
I noticed :)
In retrospec, I was a bit too aggressive on the city spots I chose. I was damn too near Arabia (i wanted that marble...) and settling so close to Germany was an open invitation for disaster to come to me.
The DoW were to be expected as the Iroquois were at war with almost...
All was going well until turn 60.
4 cities, 2 wars 4 spearmens (didn't research archery...)
Germany DoW... (maybe I traded too much with Iroquois)
Turn 63 Chinees DoW followed on turn 64 by Arabia... :(
I'm surprised I lasted up 'till turn 100...
