Those are nice scores. Always fun to check out these saved games and see the different games. Thought I submitted my game in the proper place, but guess not? I think Jovan was faster tho by a few turns (840AD for me I think). Oh well it was fun. Will try to figure out where I went wrong.

That's a lot of desert (appropriate for race)! I haven't played on the Marathon speed yet alone large maps. I'll give it a shot and see if my laptop can handle it. :) Haven't done a cultural game yet so might give that a shot as others have suggested as well (Civipedia here I come)...
