I think its great they have decided to create a new architectural style for SE Asia. Its beautiful to have a distinct look for the civs, unlike Siam and Indonesia in Civ V which had the same style as China and Japan.

I guess there are no manuals yet - as there are still no SDK or other tools released, we need to wait a bit until we can start modding in full scale. That shouldn't stop you getting inside the game files and figure out things already - there are pretty good instructions written in the code files...
