I recently got back into Civ 6 after playing a bit at launch and 1000+ hours in Civ 5, and I must say it's refreshing to not be limited to 4-8 cities.
I often find more often than amenities, the limiting factor to my expansion is loyalty more than anything else. I think its an ok mechanic...
I actually didn't feel that bad without factories, because I was Germany and had Hanses. I don't think this building gets enough credit. In the early game it's usually nothing more than a bank, but in the late game with 9 trade routes it's the largest production modifier on your cities you'll...
Good point! The only problem I can think of was that he had a TON of workers everywhere, meaning I couldn't land my XCOM squads in a perfect surround if workers were in the way. That's good to know for future cheesy wins though! :goodjob:
I used some tips in this thread to squeeze in a win. I will admit, however, that I did have to reload once in the endgame becuse I forgot to attack with my XCOM squads, but it was a close one, I'll tell you that.
Hiawatha had a GIANT empire, and was making over 4000 BPT. I did snag Hubble...
My other concern is that Hiawatha is getting pretty scary culturally. He's already at like 30% infuential with most civs. Is the AI smart enough to beeline internet and all of the tourism benefits?
I'm 5% behind him. Also I have all of rationalism filled out because I didn't have any coal for factories. I'm outputting like 800 science a turn. My great person counter is pretty high and I've used my faith to buy like 3 scientists.
Conquering his capital seems near impossible. I have no good...
Hey, it's been a while since I've posted on this forum.
Anyways, I'm in this immortal game as Germany on a huge map. During the Modern and Atomic Era, I decided to forgo my science lead and do some conquering, and with the help of an artillery rush accompanied by calvary and eventually...
Mostly Starcraft 2, I'm a bit sick of the 'manipulate the AI' style of civ. But not enough to give up on a succession game.
Also school started, so that's a big occupation of my time.
Yeah sorry, I'd like to say I've been busy but the truth is I've been occupied with other games.
I think the best thing we can do is continue to get food buildings in the capital, and work on infrastructure. Not sure of the best order to do that, but if we can research construction we...
I am trying to implement a specific effect, but I'm not even sure how I'm supposed to do it. I'm guessing I would have to check if 1) there is a player of the nephite civ and then figure out how to give the civilization more yields, but I'm not sure how I would do the latter or the former.
Er...I've just been creating my own xml documents and then using the update database thing for each document. I don't even know where to start for doing the code.
I guess I should ask a more specific question...
So I already have the XML for my new UU and Trait, but I need to add the unique properties of these traits (like how they behave, for example washington has RIVER_EXPANSION enabled, and some have CANNOT_BUILD_SETTLER or some other property within...
I'm familiar with C# and C++ but I have no idea what syntax or values I should be using in my code.
I've searched everywhere on the forums but it would be nice to see a reference page or guide that would help me find values within code and simple commands to change, for example, tile yields...
On immortal or diety how do you know when you are too behind in tech? I used to think that if I couldn't hit education before some ai entered the renaissance but I doubt this is correct. What is the tolerable literacy deficiency?
Yellow seems like the only choice now with one with nature.
Sorry bout the embassy swap, I guess it's more my play style to focus on map vision than try to mooch gold out of the ai.
