    Patch v3.13 change list

This patch looks to be worth the wait, but does it fix the combat odds being off at times. I know there is a 5 percent chance of losing a battle at even 95 percent, but sometimes I see the odds are against more times then other.

    Start Game Map Types

That answer a lot of my questions, except I wonder what Fractral is like. Thanks for the guide by the way.

Dangit, if this is the wrong section, move it to Strategy and Tips where it might make more sense.

    Start Game Map Types

I been wondering what the difference between some of the map types you have to select at the start of the game. There are so many options, but hard to tell what some are at times. And which ones are globes and just flat generic maps?

Civilizations IV: Warlords and Circuit City

It was worst for me, as not only did Circuit City not have it, but Best Buy didn't even stock it. And since EB Games don't want to take checks, I had to get it at Wal-Mart.

    1.52 Undocumented Patch Changes

I think this been mentioned before, but on the Foreign Advisor screen, if you look in tecnlogy, you can see how much gold the computer countries have on them at the moment (under their techs avaiable). And on the resources screen it shows gold per turn.

    Blue Marble Terrain

Actually I can play a Custom game with the Blue Marble terrain still. It just selecting the "No Cheating" option when starting a game seems to force the older graphics on the game. I know that the case because my current game was a custom game, but I didn't used "No Cheating"...and I got the...

    Blue Marble Terrain

Not working for me with the new patch. Even tried to re-install it...and it still the old graphics. Do like the look of the world when I used this in the past by the way. [edit] I noticed it will not work if "No Cheating" option is selected. Because when I start a game without that checked...

How to know which patch I'm running?

You can find out what version you have by running the game and going to the last option on the menu (Misc I think), where you will see a button named About. It tells you which patch version you have currently.

    Freakishly high barbarian attacks?

Geez, and I thought I had it bad on my normal barbarian settling Noble game. The barbarians were very ruthless, attacking a axeman I had out on a hill every turn for five straight times. Finally healed up and send some reforcement to the west where I see two size six barbarian cities, spread...

I thought the CIV info for the people in the third game was hidden. I had no trouble finding it this time around.

    Isabella is really really annoying

Agreed, she is very nuts in most games I played. She always tend to declare war on me for not giving her ONE tech for free. Wouldn't be so bad if she didn't get one of the early reglions all the time.

    Musketeers

Musketeers are pretty good if you know how to use them right. In my first win on Warlord, I went toward Gunpowder rather early in the game, and I had musketeers in use for probably 200 turns before they finally got obselete. Things that made them good in my game were the fact I didn't trade...

    The Civ 4 Gandhi

I thnk they did that on purpose. I was reading the Civpedia entry on leaders, and it said that the leaders will generally try to act like their real life counterpart. But it did say that this happens most of the time, and then it goes on use Gandhi as a example, saying he is generally a peace...

    Interesting News About Barbs

I had good luck taking a city from a barbarian. I was playing China, and they had a city up near the corner of my land, so I send some axemen up there (they were build to attack any barbarians who entered the land) and had them defend, as I knew they would lose against the archers without...

    Interesting News About Barbs

That would explain why in my last game I kept seeing the barbarians attack Spain often. I was behind them in the score, and they kept getting the most of the barbarian attacks in the game.

To cut down forests or not to cut down forests?

What I do with forests now in my game are to leave them be until I get lumbermills, then I start placing mills on the titles. If it near a forest, then I put a watermill. But a note...if you have jungles, remove ASAP! In that case, put a cottage on it.
