AI never attacks twice with Chu-ko-nu

No it isn't fine. The AI simply does not know how to use the Chu-ko-nu properly in offensive situations. I've watched it happened repeatedly using the SDK and have a friend who witnessed no less than 6 of them attack and then move while assaulting a city. The fact that this has gone unnoticed...

AI never attacks twice with Chu-ko-nu

The China AI will never attack twice with the Chu-ko-nu but instead always opts to use its second action to move.

    The Medmod VI

Okay, I think I'll take back what I said about sieges being impossible. It's the estimate that the game gives you when attacking a city that makes it seem like it's impossible when all you really have to do is keep throwing units at the city. It's still costly and involves more maneuvering to...

    The Medmod VI

I really like this mod, but capturing cities is nearly impossible in the early game, especially when they have walls and/or situated on hills. It's made even more difficult when cities have more deadlier attacks and are taking your units out left and right. All early units, including siege...

    Civilization: The Board Game

I also just got the board game and it kicks ass. Reasons you know it doesn't suck: 1. Designed by Kevin Wilson (he's designed a lot of excellent board games), 2. Published by Fantasy Flight Games (pure quality and professionalism when it comes to board games). Why would you play a board game...

God damn this game is good

Just logged in to say I completely agree with the OP. Been playing the Civ series since the very first and Civ 5 is just a pleasure to play and feels more addicting than ever. I know it has its share of issues (like AI) and missing elements (like religion), but its elegance more than makes up...

    Advanced start is too easy...

I've been playing around with the advanced start all day and it seems either the human gets too much of an advantage or the AI doesn't do a good job in allocating its gold. I've tried it from prince to deity and every time I end up considerably more advanced than any other civilization...

CivIV Warlords Stalls or Computer Restarts!

I also have the same problem and I know it's not anything hardware related(overheating, power issues, ect). Civ4 before Warlords played without a hitch, and now I have gotten 2 HARD crashes, meaning it happens totally randomly, my monitor shuts off and my sound is a constant blur of noise and...

    The People are the Heroes!

Has anyone else heard this song playing during the modern age? It's absolutely wonderful! I've noticed that the modern age music is sooo much better and fitting than that horrible jazz music in civ3, anyone else agree? So does anyone know who wrote this song and what kind of genre of music...

Great News - limited RailRoad movement.

I agree..I definetly think this change is for the better.

looks like were still going to road everywhere :(

I was thinking to just make it so roads take longer to build and upping the maintenance and building costs of workers. This way it encourages both the human and computer to make use of its workers and road placement wisely and not to have 20 of them roaming around building them all over the place.

Sid Meier's Civilization IV Team to Appear on GameSHOUT Radio

bwhahaha! This was a great discussion though! What I liked most was the fact that navies will supposedly have a bigger role now. Oil as well as other resources will actually appear in the ocean and you'll have to harvest it appropriately. Also, you'll now be able to barricade enemy...

Lyrics for Baba Yetu (For those who want to sing/read along)

This song is amazing, I love it! And if this is really the theme song(?) for Civ 4, then I think that bodes well for what we'll see come this November. :D Good move by Firaxis in choosing such a song that fits the new religions that's being added to the game. Also, if people loved this song...

Is there any music mods for Civ3?

Some excellent music to listen to while playing Civ3 is by a band called Solace and is totally free. They play egyptian/middle-eastern styled music that fits perfect with the ancient and medieval ages. It actually sounds like it's from the Civ3 soundtrack. :) Another recommendation is just...

As close as it gets..(details of an amazing comeback-win)

Ok first let me explain the details: I played the 3rd introductory conquest scenario called "Intro 3: New Alliances" as the Netherlands, on regent difficulty and normal aggresive AI. My objective was to eliminate my two rivals(Germans and the Byzantines) with my ally(Portugal) within 100...

question about a victory point scenario..

Ok, I played the first introductory conquest scenario where you got points for(what I thought) when you settled near the "relic" locations, however, I always saw the computer just fortify a unit near these locations. Do you score points for simply having a unit by these relic locations or must...
