    Agreed, of course.

    Problem with religious emergency

It occurs to me that - I'm pretty sure - you can only make a Missionary in a city that has a majority religion. If all Scotland's cities were 'grey,' then none of them had a religion (with a Holy Site) to even make a Missionary. If I'm correct, then you were waiting for a Scottish Missionary...

1000 clues you played too much Civ VI

I can identify real historical Civs, Wonders, and People, and beat entire Jeopardy categories. And when they say "How did you know that?" I simply reply "Video Games."

The list of easy fixable/moddable problems (not about gameplay)

Firaxis: In addition to strongly agreeing with most of the above - especially the lack of numpad movement and the totally inadequate key bindings menu, let me just add the gaping holes in the Civilopedia. 'Promotion Class,' for example, and a lot of other non-primary definitions cannot be...

    No more numpad movement?

Still no numpad movement, 'W' for Wait, and 'C' (which ought to be Center on Unit) doesn't. And none of these are in the key bindings list. :nono: This game has been made very mouse-heavy, and playing it for as many hours as I do begins to hurt my mouse wrist. I have stopped playing this game...

Is there really no build queue?

It's odd - I feel an instinctive desire to defend Firaxis, simply because I've been playing their stuff since Civ II... But alot of these omissions are just plain irritating. And needless. I feel like they're pushing the "more thoughtful" narrative in an artificial way, by simply forcing us...

    No more numpad movement?

Seems like there are several things, functionality-wise and customization-wise, that Firaxis just, kinda, took out. The missing numpad movement is the largest of these irritants for me.

    Randomness Experiment...?

I'll be able to do side-by-side tests in two months, when I get a new gaming laptop. Will use brothers' desktop and Steam account as the mirror. If anyone beats me to it, though, I wouldn't complain... :-)

    Randomness Experiment...?

It just occurred to me: How random is the game when mirrored to itself? My specific thought is one I cannot personally test. The thought is, let's say you begin a game, let the computer generate everything, and then save it. If you loaded that save (with Preserve Random Seed and No Barbs...

Is the Heroic Epic the worst national wonder?

Personally, I pop two Scouts, a Worker, and start building the Pyramids and Stonehenge right off, and buy Settlers twice. Once I have that second Settler, my Scouts have discovered my nearest rivals. I plant a city in that direction, and - while I have few cities - start working on (Libraries...

When is the Great Library not a Library?

Think it's clear that, as the game sees it, you got your free thing. Here's your free building. Contract complete, obligation fulfilled. What happens after that (you lose it, sell it, whatever), is no longer a concern of the game. In the case of a free culture building in your first four...

How to get the Yoink! achievement?

Regarding Military CS's, I (haven't tried, but) recommend what I do anyway: Re-Gift their Gifted Units right back to the CS. And/or, from multiple Military CS's to a single particular CS. I do this to buff my CS allies before wars get launched, should help to get CS up to fifteen units for...

    I made a Civ V comic. Maybe you'll like it. :-)

More! "<Pooping> bricks," going to be snickering every time I settle a city from now on.

    Do Railroads replace Roads (Cost)?

Railroads can / do replace roads, and RR's cost 2gpt to maintain. Whether you build over a road or just build the RR from scratch, the cost is 2gpt for that hex. Never more than that.

What are the known starting biases for all Civs?

Egypt has Desert / Flood Plains / River (the Nile); Iriquois has Forest / Plains; That's all I know off the top of my head, I always hit Disable Start Bias... :crazyeye:

Why do camel archers need horse?

    Ah! Good thought.

Why do camel archers need horse?

Because Ivory is already a Luxury / Building resource, so Siam and India's UUs already have (theoretical) access to them as a resource (like Horses for Horsemen, Stables, etc). Camels don't have a luxury quality to them, and virtually no one needs them for anything except for a particular UU...
