You were right. According to my previous game experience if a civilization hasn't make contact with other Civs then they would never know about your treacherous ways... timing is everything here. Just hope you can wrap things up before you make contacts with the other. Regards, Kyppo

I've been asking myself this same question but never once got a leader from fighting babarians only. The only time I got a leader was from fighting AI Civs. Maybe your Civ has to be Militaristic or something, aren't Germans start with Militaristic bonus? Regards, Kyppo

What I did was get the military units that I want to added to the army unto the city where my leader was and click the load button and they will be added to the army, up to 3 units I believe. Regards, Kyppo
