I was wondering, is it necessary to cover all land in railroads in Civ4? I have a habit of doing that from Civ3 and earlier but I get the impression it only helps certain types of land now.
Hi, I have a somewhat related question. In resource trding, if I have, say, 1 marble and I trade it away, do I lose the bonus I get on building some wonders? Do I need to make sure I keep at least 1 instance of a resource for myself?
Sorry for being off topic, but I was wondering how you add notes to the map like that? Is it an in game feature? I mean the tags you have labelled as 'city'.
Thanks! I like these threads, I'm learning lots!
This is a great idea for getting advice. I jsut finished my third Civ4 game in BTS on the warlord level (they had to make the first expansion the same name..lol)
I did fine, won space race, but I need help with managing cities. For instacne my second city was to snag bronze, andit also hasd...

I can relate to this too. I've played 3 games so far. First, on the easiest level, not settler the next one. Chieftain? I won no problem, cause all the other civs jsut sat there the whole game.
I tried moving to warlords after that. The first game I got crappy land with no horses, no metals...
Sorry about the loss. I'm glad you are still continuing with the restart though.
Looks like you have oil offshore. Unfortunately it is not close to any cities..
Maybe you can move a city. .hehe
Good luck!
Hi, I am reading the guide now. The link on page 1 was bad, btw, I got it from 'lovelyfunbags' link.
I was looking in the cities section for the answer to a question I have. I didn't find it so will ask here.
What are the pros and cons of placing your city on top of a resource? Do they get...
