    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

Sorry for that. I can't answer all questions anymore since i partially forgot the details. Even if it's months late, i can answer your question. MapView tries to find your Civ4 install so it can use the XML files from the extensions and installed mods to provide the toolbars with available...

You can set the civ directory manually somewhere in the file menu. I believe it's a checkbox entry labeled "overwrote registry values" or something.

Don't think so. I think i worked at something like that tho but it didnt make it in a version.

Hmm, no real ideas what's wrong and i cannot really remember too much. Sounds like you worked with it already and it worked fine? Mayb it's a driver thing or you got a new card? I was using NVidia cards all the time so i was pretty surprised i did most things right after all and didnt get much...

Also, not 100% sure if the debug plugin editor still works. But you could mayb use this debug version of the editor plugin (replace but backup the original version of course) to find out which file is not behaving. The reason for this is that i basicly did not write it perfectly when it comes...

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

Sorry to hear that. I'm not working on MapView atm (or ever?) so there's nothing much i can do. Yeah, there is a registry key you can change, but it does not look like it was the problem. Mayb zooming in more and/or minimizing the MapView window might help. Even if MapView looks pretty simple...

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

Hmm, about the pic2map issue. Try doing it vice versa then. Try copy the plot part and replace the counterpart in a working wbs. You probably need to adjust width and hight and startingpositions accordingly. Mayb there's also some important line missing in the plots? Dunno, it's so long ago...

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

It should be there automatically. I forgot almost everything but if it's a vanilla, bts, warlords submod and the actul civ4 version is detected the mods should also be included there. If there's 2 possible locations for the mod (like in user documents or the game folder) you'll need that to be...

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

That is actually pretty close to the only possible solution right now. You indeed have to adjust your source image, cut it in pieces, feed mapview with those parts individually and then copy and paste them together again. Mayb my elaboration on the wiki article helps...

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

Sorry i don't have the time atm to do any of that. The suggestion i made was like that: When you open a *.CivBeyondSwordWBSave (*.WorldBuilderSave for Vanilla, that's why i said *.wbs) you can easily tell the actual map design apart from other things like player setup, map conditions and...

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

I'd suggest to get a *.wbs (or whatever it's called for your extension) that works well and manually replace all the map data from the file created by mapview and leave all other elements unchanged (just apply the changes manually that you know are save to change).

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

Unfortunately i never finished it. You'll need to to that by hand. I guess the easiest way is to create a new map and copy and paste the larger on into the smaller one (for cropping) ... Sorry ;( The buttons are in the "invisble area" below the lower border (resize the dialog to the bottom) ...

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

Oh, i didn't really read that message to the end. Sorry. Hills and peaks are not supported. You would need to place them manually, depending on your source image you can probably guess that either ice areas "glaciers" or brown" areas are likely to be mountains.

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

I don't have access to the code atm, but i mainly decided the terrain type on an average of the pixel values Hue value in the HSV color model. You should be able to get snow = white area desert = yellowish grass = green blue = ocean (to be later fixed with the coast tool) thundra =...

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

You can't ;( You need to copy and paste your existing plot information from the plot data into a larger/smaller map and take care of that by hand. I don't know how complex this is in practise, i'm sorry

    MapView 2.0 - Civilization 4 Editor

MapView 2.0.x just broke the "10000 downloads" wall!! I'm so stoked! MapView is the most downloaded Civ4 Tool in it's section on Civfanatics.com! Thanks a lot for all the suggestions and support.

Yeah, Pic2Map needs improvement, i just don't have the time to roll them out, i'm terribly sorry.

Civ5Replay files, am I missing something?

In FPS games demos are just the snatched network code send/received when playing. Therefore the playback is an actual simulation of the game. What i 'm trying to say is, mayb you can "connect" to it somehow .. or host a game (if such thing is possible) and somehow load it via that menu. Don't...
