Things sure have changed lol. I log in occasionally, I'm floored by all the names I still recognize kicking around (as well as the ones that unfortunately aren't anymore)
Sorry for the massive bump/gravedig, but I was wondering if anyone in this thread might still have the files for this mod saved somewhere. I am feeling nostalgic and kinda wanted to work on this, but that is difficult without the original files, and my links are all dead.
Hello peoples!
I used to be super active on this site and was working on a mod called Rule the World. I finally reinstalled Civ3 on my computer and I was wondering if anyone still had the mod files from back when it was available. All the links to it are currently dead.
Anyone willing to...
Probably a little for the whole introduction thing, but I just wanted to poke my head in and say "Hi" in my one post a year tradition I seem to be in.
Hello old friends and new faces!
Good luck with this! I was working on one a few years ago with a few people, we didn't get very far on it though. I have some tech graphics I made for it though, the link is in my library in my sig.
I'm pretty sure that that cannot be done. I am not sure how the game reads the .pcx files for the buttons, but I am 98% certain that it isn't possible.
I used to use 7.8, but I lost my copy of that version. I've tried to get it off Steph's website, but (as far as I know) I can only get as far back as 7.10 with creative url guessing :/
EDIT: Nevermind :)
Okay. I'm trying using older versions of the file, but they don't seem to be working either. Thanks.
EDIT: I switched back to version 7.10, and tested it on the conquests.biq. I am getting a message which states that the units32 and resources files are empty, which they most certainly are not.
I get the same unhandled exception error as noted above after loading ANY scenario. When I do this, and click continue, the program acts like the the biq is empty. This used to work fine on my Vista laptop, but when that died I move to win7, and I think it might be part of the problem. .NET...
What babe? [the one with the power]
[in a desperate, fleeting attempt to stay on-topic] Anyone know what the trial version of UVMapper is capable of? The details on the site were pretty sketchy, and I don't really want to do d/l and waste time with it if I don't have to.
Okay. Its just the model I'm using then. When I get back to my computer I'll see what models I still have... It has been a long time since I've fired up poser.
You could use the outdated W3C web design guidelines, where the website must be easily viewable on a 800x600 screen. Following that, i'd say no more than 500x375. The spoiler tag is the best choice though.
