How did you modify it punkbass2000???? Cuz every time i play the board game, like pleiades829 said, theres always a clear cut victor by the end of the ancient age. It would be great if i could find a way to modify it.
I think that sounds like a little much for one country. But then again, America is a superpower by a pretty good margin. I guess the makers of the game are trying to make it as relistic as possible. (They may have gone a little overbored though)

I'll have to try and find the original, it sounds alot more like the computer Civilization (which ROCKS!!). It seems everyone is suggesting the technologies as a good strategy. I think my problem was I was way too militaristic.

ive played the sid myers version, i dunno which one theat is.
i think its the one with the movement phase, then the trade phase, then the production phase, then the purchase phase.
if this is the same one u've played Bingen, which is ur fav place to start???
yea, its actually an extremely detailed game, much like the computer version if it is played with the advanced rules.
a group of friends and i play it every weekend, and im not to bad, but i always seem to lose eventually, and im looking for some help!
