I've been trying to build a map where I set the starting locations of three different civs: Egypt (Player 1), Greece (Player 2), and Rome (Player 3)
Heres what I do:
-Open World Editor, make a new map
-Then I open scenario editor, add the three players in their respective order with Egypt as...
I checked the box for load scenario before starting the game.
Just to test it again, I made a tiny map, added 3 players (egypt, france, and greece) in the scenario editor, then edited three different tiles to set them for each of the different players.
I started a new game as Egypt and I...
I made a huge map, added 18 players in the scenario editor, put random starting locations all over the world, then set the location for Player 1 Egypt in a corner of the map.
Whenever I start the game, as Egypt (and yes I'm loading scenario) I get put in a different spot. If I try to start a...
Looks like a great mod, I love "Extra", but I can't get the in game menu to come up. Tried alt tabbing, restarting, etc. I have a basically brand new machine so I know it can't be hardware, my only guess is maybe that it's Windows 7?
Hmm well I looked for the .txt which would contain the techs I wanted to delete, but there seemed to be so many different txt's that it would be near impossible to figure out which one was the right one (since I didn't want to screw up the game for good).
If anyone wouldn't mind pointing me in...
I have absolutely no idea how to mod. I knew how to lock the Ancient and Medieval period in civ3 through the world builder, but here I have no clue. Is there a simple way I can make it so that the world does not progress past the medieval period in civ4?
If you told me to do that in civ3 I could do it no problem, but for civ4, is there a way to do it using the world builder? Or would I have to go do a lot of stuff that I probably have absolutely no idea how to do?
Is there a way to make it so that you cannot advance farther than the medieval period? When I play conquest and dominace games, its really depressing to just use nukes over and over again to beat an enemy into submission. I'd prefear to stay in the ancient/medieval period if its possible.
Is...
No, its not a case like that. My computer is top of the line and less than a year old, and from what I've seen, other people who are having the same problem usually have top of the line computers as well.

Well I can afford to get one of the newer graphics cards if need be, but then again, I thought my current vid card was pretty new, heh.
I'm just wondering if there IS a graphics card out there that isn't having trouble. If its obvious that all the older video cards are doing better than the new...
I have a Radeon 9800 256 Pro, but I'm getting constant crashes during midgame.
Anyone out there have yet to experience a crash with their graphics card?

I have bought several cases but finally settled with a thermaltake. It has damn near 6-7 fans running. Its loud as hell but well worth it since my computer is always very cool...
