True. I think conceptually it would be nice to have him focused on developing conquered land to the detriment of old territory. Perhaps a better idea would be to have him be a leader which can go for culture victories but relies on conquered land to do so.
I think some of the spy missions could really do with a rework. Partisans are annoying, but they're not really a major threat by the time neighbourhoods role around and the AI is really just wasting its own spy capacity when it focuses on them.
A natural wonder idea:
Adam's Bridge / Rama Setu:
Passable land tile; same placement rules as the Golden Gate Bridge. Grants a free trade route to the civ which controls it, and grants a bonus to trade routes passing through it. Changes to a passable sea route if affected by a natural disaster.
I think it's base + Hypatia + one city state + Rationalism. It might actually be two city states; I forget whether or not rationalism doubles these bonuses.
I think the argument is that you wouldn't need either expansion to play the new leader with the new civ. It doesn't completely rule out this possibility, but the wording on the Civ website makes it sound like it's going to be an alt for one of the R&F civs only; every other possibility would...
For the alternate leader I'm betting (as many are) on Kublai. I'm thinking he could have bonuses that involve him moving his seat of power into conquered lands. Something like:
- Conquered capitals are instantly annexed and become the new fully loyal Mongol capital. All pillaged buildings and...
This may not be a major thing, but I would really like desert floodplains to be rename to 'silt' or something. That way actually flooding riverbanks in deserts could keep the floodplain name and it would be much easier to work out where dams could go!
Assuming the rising number of calls from Tory MPs doesn't force Boris' hand on this, I think the damage done to his and the party's reputation has been substantial. Outside of those who actively follow politics, Cummings was not well known prior to this debacle, and now he finds himself as the...
Everyone is assuming the meteor bonus is meant to simulate the iron deposits often found in meteor; this is wrong. The free heavy cav unit is clearly Superman.
I am extremely psyched for Holy Fury. It definitely feels like this might be the last DLC for CK2 in which case we may even get a CK3 in a few years as well.
Absolutely. If we're happy enough evicting people from their homes to build a new runway for Heathrow or for HS2 then can't see the objection to the forced purchase of empty houses for disaster relief.
This bloody election cost me £145.
I was all set out to see the 'Tory majority' exit poll, go to bed sad then wake up at the normal time. Instead I saw 'Hung Parliament', renewed my TV license and then woke up at 3am.
Indeed. Look at the Chagos Islands for another example. A larger population than that of the Falklands were moved so that the US could build a military base.
Let me preface this with a disclaimer: I don't especially object to selective education. There are comprehensive and selective systems in place in other countries that get better results than the UK, and I suspect in the grand scheme of things segregating by ability has little effect on school...
I find the Falklands to be an odd topic in British politics. While I agree with the consensus opinion that the islands should remain a UK territory as that is what the population wants, I find the grandstanding on the issue rather grating. The UK has a poor track record when it comes to...
