: Lawyer Says U.S. May Forcibly Extradite British Citizens Wanted for Crimes

There's several century old laws worldwide that have never been repealed such as these ones in the U.K: These would never stand up in court however. The difference is the U.S IS sanctioning an archaic law in order to endorse its own sovereignty upon other nations. That's not co-sure.

: Lawyer Says U.S. May Forcibly Extradite British Citizens Wanted for Crimes

If true, this is just another nail in the proverbial coffin of American foreign policy. Sooner the "special relationship" between the U.S and U.K is over the better because, as history appears to indicate its all/largely one way. Time to declare our independence from American political...

BBC Wonder - A bit of help to make into reality

Alright, I was thinking that, instead of giving a free broadcast tower in every city, what if the BBC gave an increase to culture (say 30%?) to cities that have built a broadcast tower? Is that possible? I'm having a bit of trouble getting the channel resource to work (problem with the...

    Your Religion

I'm a Humanist that is to say, it is not a religion, rather a way of life and perspective. It encompasses both atheism and agnostic but seeks to give positive meaning to an otherwise negative stance on religion. In other words, Humanism is all about being the best person you can be and...

How do you feel about The American Revolution?

Did you know that the British Caribbean was worth more than the colonies combined, due to the sugar exports? Or that the Colonies were no more taxed than any other British colony at the time? To say that "OMG, The British taxed us to the extreme and left us no option to go to war" is...

Boy who refused treatment on religious grounds dies

It's sad but at the end of the day, at least that blood can go to someone else who actually wants to extend or otherwise cure their ailment. Sooner religions die of the better to be honest. Humanism! ;)

How do you feel about The American Revolution?

It wasn't even about taxation really, it was about self-autonomy. (see my previous post)

How do you feel about The American Revolution?

I voted: British-Legitimate. Because I believe the Americans had every right to go independent when the King, moreover parliament (and the rigidness of its rules) denied the British Colonists representation and the ability to act and govern themselves. What I do however find illegitimate is...

    Can Americans get the BBC?

I used to watch BBC News when I was on exchange in the States, it was nice having a piece of home over there (and it was certainly better than the abysmal Fox News). I think it came after CNN (or was part of the channel in some way)? For some reason though, the colour was a bit off. Perhaps...

People just love to bash the United Nations

I'm snobby because I didn't have time to explain what "Slate" was and referred you to check out a dictionary to find out the definition? You failed to find out and somehow in your delusional crackpot-world, I'm to blame for your own failing! LOL  Perhaps if you were capable of reading...

People just love to bash the United Nations

The discussion is over, I can't be arsed to explain definitions to you as though you were a 5 year old child, who needs to be spoonfed information because he doesn't have the intuition to find out the knowledge for himself. Further provocation/trolling over the issue will result in me putting...

BBC Wonder - A bit of help to make into reality

I do understand with what you're saying, don't get me wrong. I do appreciate your feedback on this one. If the BBC had been called "NBC" (National Broadcast Corporation), then there wouldn't be an issue (?), but the problem is, that it's called the "BBC". Rather than make up a wonder (?! has...

People just love to bash the United Nations

Anyone ever said that your pride stops you from just apologising? I told you to go and look at a dictionary, I had no time to explain the intricacies of it (nor am I obliged to teach you the definitions of a word, that you really ought to know by now), I found the definition of it in less than...

People just love to bash the United Nations

Then perhaps it's unfair of YOU to tell me that "I'm wrong" because the dictionary you used to reference was American English, when it's clear (and has been made clear) that I'm British. If "slating" (as in harshly criticising), isn't in your dictionary, or used in your version of English. It's...

People just love to bash the United Nations

Idealism in the sense that all U.N members would do everything their power to achieve those goals. The goals of the millennium project are attainable but as we've seen at the UN, some members bicker far too much or don't do as they've promised.
