    Ragusa

I do agree. I live in Montréal and it was founded by Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve in 1642. If anything, it should be a French city, not an Iroquois one. The Iroquoiens village that was located on the island of Montréalway before the French ever settled there was called Hochelaga and not Hochlaga.

Me too. Same thing for corporations.

    4,99$ For Babylon

Stop whining. 4,99$ isn't expensive for a DLC. It's even on the cheap side when you compare that to most other DLC of other games. Starbucks sell coffee cups that are more expensive...

Settlers alone are 99% dead meat, suspicious ?

Me too. It happened to me once (capture). Took it back after a while. But I do scout the surroundings a lot, I won't let a settler venture off in the wild without knowing at first that a barbarians encampment hasn't sprung up in the meantime. That doesn't mean I escort settlers all the time.

Religion gone from Civ V is a Blessing

I agree with the thread title

Are there any HardCore Civ fans who like CiV?

Civ5 is a fantastic game and I've been playing Civ since 1990.

Final Verdict: We want our stack back and other great cIV features!

As I went down the list, I couldn't help but notice that I wanted none of this back (especially the graphics, who in their sane mind would like something 6 years old?) All I really want is the multiplayer experience we had in Civ4 which isn't quite there yet with Civ5.

Loading a map made with the World builder

Even easier. I saved that map with the Worldbuilder, not even as a mod or scenario, a simple map. When I set up a game, I chose my map in the map type box (instead of Pangea, terra, continents, etc.)

Loading a map made with the World builder

How to? (EDIT) Easy. Save the map with the Worldbuilder, not even as a mod or scenario, a simple map. When you set up a game, choose the map in the map type box (instead of Pangea, terra, continents, etc.)

Terra Map? Why am i the only colonizer

I agree. I discovered that one on my own and its the script I now always use.

Terra Map? Why am i the only colonizer

Yes, me neither Terra map on Prince. The AI never went to the Americas. Although I have to say, it makes a lot less sense to do so now (than in Civ4) since you get punished for expanding.

    Florence on a conquering spree

In my latest game, Kuala Lumpur conquered Heliopolis from the Ottomans (who had conquered it from the Egyptians earlier on) but they didn't bother keeping it and raized it to the ground.

A list of how each AI behaves?

The Arabs will spam cities like there is no tomorrow. They usually have the biggest number of cities in my games. They are very straightforward and are very good at teching, even in advance of the human player because of their high population. They are also very keen on conquering other civs...

How do I send settlers oversea?

No. With Optics you can only do cabotage. With Astronomy you can cross the oceans.

    TOP Civ 5 Annoyances

Multiplayer : you can't load a saved game without one of the players crashing, you can't add AI players (more than the set number per map size that is) while setting up a game, only autosave...

    Music.

Music in Civ5 is the best surprise of them all. I give it A+. From the quiet sounds of the early ancient times to strong scores while at war, you really feel immersed in. This is the best part of the game : the ambiance. You had Civ2 and Civ4 with their ever too present music you grew tired of...

    Civilization V Funny screenshots

Looks like the Terra map script needs some more tweaking. Look at the northern coast of the continent in the mini map : a straight line for thousands of miles.

    Pact of Cooperation???

I remember back when it was released and I had bought it. After two games of being frustrated like hell because borders didn't solve the problem of cumbersome AI settling on every spot of available land (even if it meant a single tile of desert) and roaming freely on your territory. I cracked...

Civ V - way better than Civ IV

Civ5 is better than Civ4. No useless espionnage and hardcoded diplomacy (aka religion). Gone are also the corporations which had no meaningful purpose. The single player experience is marvelous. Civ 5 is way better than Civ4 in every way possible except multiplayer which will need to be...
