I am in the beta. I am a huge CIV IV fan, but I dropped CIV V. The first Elemental game was horrible. Fallen Enchantress is already a good game, and they will improve it for months yet.
I am playing the beta for FUN, not for finding bugs. Its that good.
Not tempted
1. Its still Steam
2. It just doesnt appear to be interesting (I have spent countless hours reading about it)
Its the first CIV game I havent bought :(
I have bought CIV IV complete and that gives three programs to start CIV IV Complete, CIV IV BTS and CIV IV Warlords. Since BTS is the last one, that is the one I want to play. Of the three the two others start fine, but BTS crashes on load.
First I get a message that Windows has to change...
I would buy any quality strategy game released, but they are few and far between. There is Heroes VI (but I will not buy with current DRM system from Ubisoft) on the way. I love Kings Bounty, but nothing new on the horison there. Basically there is nothing new that I know of. I think that...
I havent even bought it. I have bought 1-4, but this I cannot bring myself to try. I have read the CIV forums here and at Apolyton for countless hours (when bored I read on my Iphone).
Hi ppl
I have seen a few hundred threads about 1up in this and other CIV forums. I am not gonna add to that, but I would like to throw out a crazy idea I had.
I would like to suggest the warsystem from Warlods would be a possibility for CIV. CIV needs a system where there are important...
Interesting thread this. Just never bash Fotball Manager again :) It is possibly the most complex and advanced game ever created. It has been refined since the ealy 90ties (back then it was Championship Manager). When CM4 came a few years back, it sold over 2 million copies in UK alone and was...
I am holding off too. I am awaiting a new comp, and I am no fan of Steam. As the state of affairs are now, I will play Kings Bounty Crossworlds when I get the comp, and later Elemental when its patched a few times more. CIV V? Maybe on special offer next year.
38 here, played since the first CIV. Civ II and CIV IV are the favourites. CIV IV is the best game ever made. Unsure if I will buy CIV V due to the hot water debate :(
Well, its all fine and dandy for everyone except the consumers that dont want/need one more application on their machine no matter where they buy the game. I guess we agree on the facts, but disagree if it is a bad thing or not.
"The Steam happy people" seems to miss the point of the "The Steam not so happy people"
The problem is not that it is on Steam, its that it is Steam only. You have to install the Steam software even if you buy it at Gamestop. This is what many have a problem with. Many players play single...
I just dont care for companies that gets so big/important/fashionable that they can squeese the suppliers and the end users. Therefore I have no Ipod, no Steam and I try to support smaller companies. The Steam fanbois are starting to sound like the Apple fanbois to me. To each his own :)
