So here we are, a month and a half after the "coming months" announcement, with radio silence.
I'd be disappointed if I had expected anything but this continuing top-notch fan interaction. Maybe we'll get an animated gif of Sid telling us how the fans are great in a month or two. They can...
I like that we now have random AI personality selector. Now if they could just have the game refer to the AI by their personality names and not whatever their current nation is that would be great.
I like a suggestion from another thread that when you get 4 stars of the next era your city styles all change to the current culture. So over time, eventually, all cities will look like your current-era. Maybe Restrict it to certain things (city center?) and let the other things keep the...
Anyone else having a weird issue in some games where opening a menu will cause the graphics to absolutely lose their minds and start stereo-strobing like the game is trying to melt your brain?
Usually if I exit whatever interface and re-open it it calms down, but it happens a lot.
Both. If you hover over the trait it will tell you what you have to do to unlock. 99% of them are in-game unlock achievements but a handful of them are pre-order bonus.
Other empires need to be referred to using their Persona Name. No more "Rome has done this" when 2 turns ago they were Zhou. This way, over the next year, we'll all get used to personas and things like, "Dammit Lucy spawned next to me!" will become a thing.
To couple with this, AI Persona...
To me, this is the biggest "oof how did no one in QA say anything". If they switch to random personalities (fixed characters randomly chosen from a pool) and use the personality names instead of the current culture names I won't have any major issues with the game.
GIVE ME CHARACTERS TO HATE!
So I played a few hundred turns on Hamlet just to see if I would like the interface.
I can say:
1) This game has huge potential. More fun for me than Civ6 right out of the box.
2) The feedback in the UI is often unclear (for example, does replacing an artisans camp with a luxury-specific...
I forget which Civ it was that had a speed where tech progression was like 1/4 normal but production was normal, so you'd wind up spending more time in each era and units weren't obsolete before they made it to the front line.
Since this patch, I seem to be getting weird issues. Is anyone else having TSL Mediterranean maps not start civs in the right spot or, worse, having invalid civs loading? I really want to like the patch, and I was super excited about TSL Med (the only thing I liked about Civ5)... and it...
I unsubscribed two of them and they STILL kept saying they were loading, even after I deleted their workshop folders. So now I'm uninstalling Civ6 and reinstalling it. Obviously not my day.
Anyone else having an issue where the game (PC) literally will NOT allow you to disable your mods? It's patch day, so I always assume my mods are broken, but it won't let me disable them. At all.
I was thinking more along the lines of "Inspiration of the Saints", like St. Patrick's conversion of Ireland. But they could also fix it by making the martyr ability generate a relic when the unit dies OR spends all of its charges and is removed (similar to Heroes).
