I say you bite the bullet and replace it. This is what I have in my car (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007UNO5G/qid=1136856271/sr=8-3/ref=pd_ka_3/026-0480657-4502009) and it made such an improvement over the standard ford stereo. I had a look on amazon.ca but I guess they don't do...
I couldn't agree more. It's like, you've got a whole/half continent or whatever and your cultural borders have encased it all but like 1 or two squares of desert/tundra etc and then some sea-fairing chump comes along and sets up camp there. Boooo to them!
Eric, what's actually the problem?
Also, you do know that this site isn't part of Firaxis and/or 2k games don't you?
And...sorry, but it's "OUR" computers.
1.5. But it doesn't bother me...with the various extensions I'm running it's a million times better than ie. And closing and reopening it every so often isn't too big a deal.
Speaking of Firefox...well, this is a bit off subject, but I was just wondering if anyone else suffers from memory leaks with Firefox at all? Just wondering.
I noticed the same thing...those tiny little icons were unbelievably blurry at one point but the latest patch fixed it for me. Are you saying it's been like this since 1.52?
I'm not too fussed about seeing faces on "advisers" really. I just want to see the info and that's it.
And while religion is a big poisitive in Civ4 the best thing about the new game for me is the unit promotions. There are so many choices meaning you've got to be prepared for anything...
Bump. Has nobody even seen this? Just seems weird that I've had it in all versions of the game.
Also, has anyone tried any different settings for Hark's fix since 1.52 that might make the game run smoother? Are we still generally using 1.2.2.0 of zlib1.dll or is 1.2.3.0 ok to use again?
When you installed DirectX off of the cd/dvd did it look like it completed?
If it's just the one that's missing (which is a long shot) then you can download it here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/pop.php?d3dx9_26 It'll download a zip. Just extract the dll inside it to C:\windows\system32...
That's an essential file belonging to DirectX.
Try and reinstall DirectX from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=0A9B6820-BFBB-4799-9908-D418CDEAC197&displaylang=en
Did you refer to directx.log? It'll most likely be under your profile somewhere (C:\documents and settings\xxxx) so search there...if not it might just be sitting on the root of C:\
It might also be worth trying to install it from here...
Well I've searched this forum and can't find any other mentions of this so I'm wondering if it's just me or if other people are having the same problem? What problem? This one: -
Fairly late on in a game, say after 1600AD or so on a Large map (maybe even std but I only play large) a leader...
You're welcome. I hope it fixes your problem.
Also, one other thing I'd suggest is to download an older version of the ati drivers rather than the latest ones like suggested. Someone here discovered that this version runs much better with civ.
