    Best Stratagies with Byzantine?

I just played emperor level game with Justinian. I tried something different than I usually do. I teched Horsebackriding early! I settled 6 cities, grabbed horse and metals. Built bunch of Horse Archers and took Ramsess away from the map. after that I had 12 cities. I only lost few HA. they are...

Do granaries matter that much anymore (save the health bonus)?

granary is almost always the first building I start to build in new city. I wait until city is nearly 2 and I then switch to monument for 1-2turns and whip it when size 2. Overflow goes for granary...then I will whip granary when ever it is possible (not waiting 10turns unhappiness)..then I will...

    Bribing AIs?

...Giving your rivals gifts when you want to boost relations havent work so well for me (for example you give them silk for free when they are not asking it). For "good trade relation" bonus you need time, one or two gifts won´t change it, but for example over 10 turns open borders and resource...

    AP Question

I have another question about AP... I have buddishm in all my cities and I am buddish. AP was built by another civ, but I now control it. All buddish buildings should give me 2 hammers each, but this only happens in some of the cities. How it is possible? All cites have both monastery...

Explain to me a scenario in which Police State is useful

Sorry about the long post... I haven´t use much police state. But I did use it in my latest game as Stalin and it was the winning move!!! I had built the mids. I had six cities. I was far behind of my opponents. China, my friend was east and Cuyrus the top leader on west side. North of...

    First War

Comrade alex: In early rush it better to have units early as possible so you can face only archers or just few melee units. Also cultural denfece is still low...whip your units so you get them faster...war is over sooner and you have plenty of time to recover from whip...with enemycapital in...

    Surviving the early game

I mostly agree, but sometimes at least in immortal level...End game might still change the cource... if it is standart map and you have 10 cities, it means that AI has 10-16 cities...and if that one with 16 is finacial civ in good ground... they might take the win, exept if you have the...

World War II in the Pacific

Good scenario. (but little bit too heavy for my computer) I first played as Japan. There is nice stacks of troops to move, huhu that took some hours to made that first move, my crappy old computer is living its final moments I guess... I was able to take some 10 cities in first turn, mostly...

Moo! The Great Plains are Broken

Great plains are "easier" maps than ones with water... In GreatP map you might have situation where you start from the edge and you only need to worry about one front... And I ones started as Julius from the edge with 5 corns in my capital and second city :) (together, capital could use 4 of...

    Most useful wonders

Somehow I almost always find myself building oracle anyway, eventought I don´t usually plan to...And I don´t do priesthood too early. One game in Immortal was strange...Cyrus was the leader...I planned only for Great wall and Pyramids (my second city built both, while capital build...

    Ties...

when I hit "end of turn" ,everything that is 1 turn from complite will be finished before AI can have a turn. So if I have 1 turn left for a wonder, I will get it because my turn will end before AI turns.
