It's simple the creators don't think that a nice box art is needed to sell the game. The game would be far greater than the box, that's for sure.

2 has the advantage of less or more a equally chance of spreading to other cities/civilizations instead of 2 civilization owning them together and having only 2 dominant religions.

1) make the number of religions dependent from number of starting civilizations/map size. (the number of required theatre for the Globe Theatre are already linked to the map size)
2) Only one religion can be found by a single civilization, for example the first 4 out of 7 civilization that...
I don't think Firaxis should support XP at all, it's a ancient OS from 2001, supporting this would limited their possibilities.
If you want to stick with a ancient OS like that you should stick to a ancient game as well.
I hope that the Native Americans will be replace with a single Culture instead of a mix,
further the HRE, America and Byzantium should not make a comeback.
Correct me, if I'm wrong but Prussia was never conquered by the Romans. And thus stayed/became civilised. All the european countries that where part of the Roman Empire are less then countries who didn't
