When creating a new world with this map script no area gets revealed, I am given control of no units and the turns automatically progress. How can I fix this?

If possible, I think you should add some sort of attrition to the game mechanics. If boats and units started losing hp if they were away from your/friendly territories for long periods of time, the game would be more realistic. Also, the pirates are a nice idea, but terribly game-breaking...

Tried out the mapscript without any mods activated, the AI still won't settle anywhere. :S

It's a shame that a similar mapscript isn't included in the game itself, this game should have more than 2 lousy map scripts.

I don't really have a problem with their size, my problem is that all landscapes are randomly slapped together. But I agree with your first post, there should be greater clusters of plains, mountains and forests to provide more realism.

Could anybody find me a map of Europe without Africa and the Middle-East? And without half of Norway chopped off at the top? Been looking for this for a while, but I cannot find what I'm looking for...
